#HADES #ScourgeOfTheFuries #Reaction
source
One of my favorite reactions to date! Thanks Victor!
Songs mentioned in this video;
Mastodon – Aqua Dementia
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hGXQEXSVgk
Mastodon – March Of The Fire Ants
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mr9kY98EzVM
Thank you!!
If you don't know the guitar like sound at the start it is "baΔlama", it is a turkish instrument
One song from Hades that comes to mind for a reaction is "Out of Tartarus." It's pretty out-front, but it slaps hard.
Hades OST slaps all around
Yeah ,i Guess its Time for me to finally try this game
Hades – God of the dead when?
The whole soundtrack for Hades is wicked, but King and the Bull is my absolute favorite piece so i recommend giving that one a listen
This song's time signature magic is top notch honestly.
Good ol, βGetting jumped by your girlfriend and her sistersβ the song
In case no one else has said this: Darren Korb described the Hades soundtrack as Mediterranean prog-rock Halloween music
One suggestion I'd like to make is literally anything from the soundtrack of the original Nier, which was the precursor to the much more well known Nier: Automata. My personal favorites are "Song of the Ancients" (either the Devola or Popola version, though the duet version is amazing, and only available as the conclusion of a series of fetch quests across the game world.), "Shadowlord's Castle – Roar", or "Yonah" (again, any version).
It was a game made by noted industry crazy-man Yoko Taro, and he not only got an entire philharmonic orchestra to play it, but had an entire fake language made up so the songs had lyrics. It's honestly an amazing experience.
played Hades yet? because seriously, there isn't a single track that isn't at least as good as this one. If you love harmonies, this game just keeps on giving.
Man I cant relike this reactionβ¦
9:58 O face.
Truly the music of a God of the underworld. Intimidating, majestic, foreign, oppressive, barely relatable. Love your video man.
Great reaction, and glad you enjoyed the song so much! It was great hearing your analysis of all the nuanced musical details as well. Darren Korb never, ever misses. Hope you had a nice holiday season and got a chance to dive into Hades; it's an amazing game. Cheers!
Iβm assuming itβs a guitar meant to sound like a lyre
I love seeing music nerds nerding out about music in their reactions. Like enjoying sth I enjoy on an even deeper level.
That instrument is actually called a baglama, it is a Turkish interment
When playing the game, you don't really get the time to appreciate the OST as much as when you just sit down and listen to it like this. It really is a great piece of music. Fitting to follow one of the best characters in the game.
"The Painful Way" is also amazing, probably one of my favourites
Basically tracks for bosses (apart from Hades fight) have two parts: one part when you talk with your enemy, and when you're done, the second part kicks in saying it's the time when you get trashed
I found your channel today and have been binging your reactions. I see this is the last Hades you've reacted to and I hope you've had a chance to play the game since this.
The first sound reminds me of "oud" instrument which very popular here in middle east/Arabic music.
I just discovered your channel and I've been binge watching you react to my fav games soundtracks : Bloodborne, Hades, silent hill, undertale, zelda, FF !!
Thank you for the awesome content : D
The "O you tryna fuck?" look at 5:20 lmao.
if you don't plan on playing Hades anytime soon i reccomend looking up the artwork for it. jawdropping stuff
The beauty of this OST is how simple it is as far as musical fundamentals. It's the execution and creativity in how they do it that makes it so unique and hard to match.
I do hope he ended up playing Hades, if only for reliving 5:19– "…hello, Meg."
In case no one shared it before, Darren uses a Theramin in a bunch of the Hades songs!
Honestly not to say itβs not fantastic but hades is my 3rd favorite ost of Darren korbs with bastion as number 1 and transistor as 2 leaving pyre at 4
I recommend "The King and the Bull", also from Hades.
The song grabs you and keeps raising the pressure until an awesome badass release.
Please react to Out of Tartarus.. also Hades soundtrack.. thanks.. π
You should give the live version a shot as well!
May I suggest "There Is No Escape
" from Hades? It's quite a bop ngl!
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
I think this theme does fit this phrase very well.
My video game OST playlist keeps getting bigger and bigger thanks to these reactions. Everyone is winning here! π
Imagine this. I felt like you felt in this video, in literally every single piece in this ost.. its just how crazy good it is. And it also mirrors how good the game is on all levels. Its such a great package that the enjoyment that comes from the music, only skyrockets more when you blend it with the gameplay loop. Pure madness. Possibly the best metal album ever made for a game in our era.
that "guitar" is probably saz (turkish/midle eastern instrument)
Wow
Darren is incredible. Check out the entirety of the soundtrack for Bastion.
One of my favorite things about Hades is just chilling in the underworld listening to the music stripped down to its bass π€π»
Scourge of the Furies is a litteral masterpiece of brutality and savageness, this one is perfect for the characters it depicts. Savage, untamed, and with absolutly no mercy for you ! That's everything about those furies π
And its in my opinion the best theme of the entire game for that matter. If you don't like this theme, you probably have big problems.
It has arrangements reminiscent of the band System Of a Down
This song is interesting, very well done, extremely tasteful
bro this song gave you like an actual spiritual experience what the fuck
