  1. I'm dead set in my belief that in GOW Ragnarök, Kratos will travel to Greece for some reason. Most probably to get back weapons that were OP as hell. And he'll do it most probably how Tyr is mentioned doing magically by Mimir.
Afterall, Greece is Kratos's pantheon, of which he is the God of War. Perhaps another adventure travelling back to the famed home of Kratos, Sparta! Imagine Mimir's commentary while he's dangling from the hip of the bloody Ghost of Sparta while he sees Sparta. I'm sure Kratos would hate every bit of it since he left that land because of disgust and guilt from killing so many, including Lysandra and Calliope. But I'm also sure Greece's being rebuilt well from the power of Hope Kratos gave back.
So many possibilities, I even forgot some of the theories I had in mind right now to write but forgot because of writing so much other stuff. But one last thing I'm definitely sure about, if the things I've mentioned above happens, Athena is gonna be there and as a huge part of the storyline and plot.

Comment your thoughts on this, friends!

  4. @KaptainKuba Kratos was cursed again after he killed Zeus. I believe that Kratos's immortality curse was "adjusted" after he killed Zeus so that the only way Kratos can truly die is if he is killed by his child. I think this is why the blades of chaos reappeared to him after GOW3. The blades are Zeus's way of cursing Kratos to the same fate as him. Maybe it was a final fail-safe that Zeus created before the power of fear left his body in the end, could be another reason why Zeus apologized before he died. Zeus knew that he could not stop the curse that was about to be placed on Kratos because he would not convince an angered Kratos to stop before he killed Zeus. Zeus thus resorted to an apology after he regained control of himself (ie when the fear left his body). The blades of chaos are cursed to kill Kratos, which is why they will not leave him. Perhaps in the end the blades will be used by Atreus to kill Kratos, then the blades will either attach themselves to Atreus (if he kills Kratos in anger and hatred, and continuing the curse of the blades), or the blades will shatter into pieces after Kratos dies destroying them and their curse (I think this will happen if Atreus uses them as mercy killing on his father, perhaps they both learn the truth of the blades and Kratos asks to be killed.)

I believe both of these scenarios will happen. First Kratos will be killed by Atreus, when Atreus is angered, and the blades will move like a parasite to their new host. Atreus not being able to control the power of the blades is corrupted and gives into the blades of chaos, sort of becoming a new Greek era Kratos. Kratos is saved by Fae in the light of Alfheim, and brought back to life, and sent back to the past to redo the whole thing. This time Kratos saves Atreus from the blades because he understands that he must die, but that if Atreus kills him in a fit of rage then the blades of chaos will take over. This time Atreus will kill Kratos reluctantly, and with no anger or rage in his heart; now the blades will be destroyed like a parasite without a host to live in. In this alternate future, we get an Atreus wielding the Leviathan axe; a pure and good version of Kratos who is not hell-bent on destruction.

In the end, Fay needed to die because if Kratos never formed a relationship with Atreus, then Atreus would always kill him in anger and would be cursed by the blades. I think it is the Blades of Chaos themselves that cause Ragnarok, by corrupting Atreus they bring about Ragnarok, and this corrupted form of Atreus is the true Loki. The only version of the future that stops Ragnarok, is the version where Atreus kills his Father our of love, and mercy and not out of hatred and revenge. This is the main reason of Kratos saying "we must be better". Atreus asks if this is always how it ends, and Kratos says we must be better, we are the gods we choose to be. We may not always be able to choose our actions, but we can choose our reasons. In the end, the cycle repeats, but it also ends when this new generation of gods are born from the only god to kill his father for a good reason, and the only god who ultimately didn't want to kill their parent.

I thought this was an interesting take, and id like to hear peoples thoughts on it.

  5. Kratos was driven by rage but there's also a narrative answer. From the beginning Gaia told Kratos something like "Go back to the moment Zeus betrayed you", and repeated it a lot through the game. So, we as a players should not be confused at all about it

  6. I have a theory but granted it sounds dumb😂💔 but what if Athena knew that Kratos would go to the Norse Pantheon after and this is all apart of the "Twilight" she has by having Kratos kill all the pantheons with the help of Tyr's travel methods she would be the only deity???

  7. Persephone actually is the reason he’s immortal, in one of the spinoff games Kratos killed Persephone but as she was dying she said “Your suffering will never end, Spartan” she cursed him to be immortal, he’ll never be able to re-join his family

  8. I have another question :
Did the other Gods have an astral form like Zeus , Athena and Pandora? Like , Poseidon having an Astral Form along with Hermes. And also , what happened to the other Gods? There is an theory that says that when Gaia died and destroyed Mount Olympus , the remaining gods also died , but nothing was confirmed about Aphrodite , Artemis , Apollo , Coalemos , Iris and etc.

  9. Even if he didnt need hades weapons to have hades soul in his body the blade of olympus would have surely destroyed hades soul when kratos jammed the sword in his own body to release the power of hope to the mortals.

  10. Kratos didn't do that because his hatred of the gods and his desire to murder them was greater than his love for his family and his own happiness.

He's not just a general, but THE GENERAL of Spartans, which means he's smart enough to weigh the costs and benefits of every battle, and use logic over emotion.

I think this is ultimately what torments Kratos – He thought like a god in a war as opposed to a mortal man, and he detests everything about them, especially since they took everything from him and he's cursed to live as one.

I think he feels like living his days as a mortal man and husband would be the ultimate revenge for the son of a god.

But this is just my thinking.

  11. I dont know if this is still canon or not but in god of war 1 one of the secret messages in god of war 1 mentioned Kratos finding ares soul or something like that somewhere.

But again its just a thought

  12. Kratos was cursed to walk the planet forever by an oracle after he killed his wife and daughter and stained his skin white with the ash of his wife and child as a reminder of his failure. Thats where is immortality comes from its explained in the game. Cory barlog has said this many times aswell.

  13. Now I haven’t watched John Ford’s video, but is there a chance that Hades’s soul allowed Kratos to revive at the end of 3? I know it’s stated to be within the hooks though

  14. Kratos can only use the strings of time for living people, when a thread is cut they are dead no matter what. He can only travel through time with fates still connect through the string of time.
