so i just randomly beat my previous beowulf WR of 5:20 playing at 2AM in the morning. I wasn’t expecting this run, the 55 second asphodel kinda just came out of nowhere lmao.
This run as a whole could have been a lot cleaner, I feel like I still played well enough but some parts definitely show I was playing at 2am lmao, a lot of sloppy clearing here and there (c31 🙁 )and the lernie fight was kinda sad. Brief run summary per biome:
Tartarus was the real stinker here, didn’t get my hammer until c13 and I could have def played these rooms better. Normally I wouldn’t carry out these type of tarts but it’s not every day you see a +78% cast damage chaos on legacy so I wanted to keep it. And it was definitely worth it because…
Asphodel blessed me this run. Just got all the skips and the only combat had only 4 enemies. The lernie fight sucked tho, I got 6 pink heads and I dealt with it pretty poorly. I’ll still happily take a 55 second aspho though lol
Elysium was alright. Combats def could have been cleaner, especially c31 and the bball (lol). Messed up a bit in heroes too because asterius not phasing caught me a little off guard but the 33/34 skip was truly blessed.
Styx/dad was amazing, pretty much what I’d want for in styxdad split, no rats or darkness. My build was lacking a bit in power for the dad fight and some volleys may have been mistimed but otherwise it was a super solid fight.
This does give me a glimmer of hope for sub5, getting this time off a 1:47 tart exit… though that grind is far off from now, I’m just really happy to once more improve the beowulf WR 🙂
