  2. I don't think Curse of Longing is causing any unexpected behavior. At 16:54, Hades takes 718 doom damage. 1.6 second later, he takes 358 doom damage. Allowing for weirdness with rounding, the second hit is about 50% of the first hit, as Curse of Longing indicates. These are some chunky doom numbers, though. If I'm doing the math right, I think Dire Misfortune is increasing your doom damage by about 37.8% when you're landing all of the shields and Explosive Return.
