This…stings, a lot, Hades wanted peace for the first time in his life, and that wanker Chronos got in the way and ruined everything.
That delivery is heartbreaking.
We hear Mel talk about how she's not sure how she truly feels about her family on account of never even meeting them. How Hecate is more her mother than anyone else, as tragic as that may be for Persephone, who has once again lost her chance to see her child grow. It's nice then, at least, to be able to see her bond with her father, however brief their interactions may be.
Persephone specifically didn't get to see either of her children's childhoods.
There's still a chance for a reunion for the fractured house of Hades, for Hades himself may resigned to his fate, Mel can reverse the fate of the broken house as she still had a chance to meet with the Sisters of Fate to overturned the fate at the greater cost or assisting the Olympus but losing her godhood in the process as her condition are fully revealed to the entire pantheon.
I really hope Rhea gets added, she lost her chance to see her kids grow up due to Cronus as well and being a Titan of Motherhood I suspect she would be incredibly wrathful
What makes this even more painful is like… Hades is also living with the knowledge that this is basically how Persephone felt when she learned Zagreus was alive. To never really be a parent to your child because you were denied your chance. And he has the chance to see his daughter, but he also lives with the knowledge that his wife and son, the wife who got denied motherhood and the son who he was still atoning to, are suffering a fate that’s supposed to be his.
The delivery of this makes me also think that Hades is finally understanding why Zagreus had been so stubborn all those years ago to break out of the underworld to see Persephone. Seeing his mother, who never got the chance to see him grow, filled an absence in his heart he didn't know he had, as it did for Persephone, who was just like Hades is now, waiting with great anticipation for the chance to see their child again, only if it's for a few moments.

I like how hades and hades 2 really contrast on their situations but also share so much with eachother like the first game is "I HAVE TO SEEK MY MOM FOR I LONG TO SOMEDAY MEET HER AND BE WITH US AT LAST AND HELP WITH THE SCANDAL THAT COULD SPAWN IF OLYMPUS FOUND OUT" meanwhile hades 2: "THIS IS THE END OF THE FUCKING WORLD, THE UNDERWORLD HAS BEEN SEIZED BY CHRONOS, MOUNT OLYMPUS IS GUARDED BY STRIFE INCARNATE AND ALSO CERBERUS IS CORRUPTED WITH WRETCHED SHADOWS"
I just hope the final, final, final battle would be a Zag and Mel vs Chronos, that would be epic
My heart breaks for Persephone, this is the 2nd time she couldn't raise her child because of a tragedy.
