Laura Palmer FTW
A some of these seem oddly targeted towards speed running but 乁( •_• )ㄏ
How do I show that my speedrun is on 1.37? I did my first a couple of days ago and will be submitting to speedrun.com
Really thorough rundown. Only suggestion I have is having side-by-side screencaps of each change before and after the patch. Visual aids really help things sink in more
I think as far as Abyssal Blood goes, it feels better to just kill stuff BEFORE they can even hit you instead of slowing them down and making them hit you softer. Hades feels like a game where it's better to alpha something down. And that's why armor is a pretty genius mechanic on enemies to begin with.
LAURA PALMER? man that brings back some memories
17:58 lmao
for anyone who doesn't get the reference, iirc he either died or just lost a no-hit run, i can't remember which, to this in styx. launched hazard bomb, was standing clearly outside it, got hit anyway. and then amir jumped in discord or w/e real quick to laugh at him for using hazard bomb in a small room.
Screw finding out how much damage you can deal in one hit, how much damage can you take in one hit?
i'm almost afraid to ask, but what's up with the pop art laura palmer painting just casually balanced on a stick on your basement
I think Rogue Likes should go more for buffs than nerfs. These games rely on power fantasies after all and nobody suffers in Singleplayer games if stuff is OP.
Just buff other stuff, don't nerf the good stuff.
But that's just my opinion
people falling asleep to your voice weren't lying, it really works
Love your content as always. I have been running up the heat on the way to 32 with Chiron and just no hit the Final Boss for the first time ever.
“Really quick video”
Video is 20min long
I see you Haelian
Did not know the switch version has no balance changes lol, does that mean the chaos shield and bows are still "OP"?
On the subject of Dash Nova, I've been down on it for a long time, but then I tried it on the Hidden Aspect and I REALLY liked it. It feels super nice to have the added mobility and obviously Sturdy has huge synergies with that particular Aspect. Highly recommend trying it out.
17:58 “it’s literally the smallest ROOM in the whole video game!”
I agree with you that the Abyssal Blood buff isn't super impressive, but 50% might be a bit much. I think 40% would be perfect.
I see you’re a twin peaks fan
Awesome as usual man! Great video
how did you get the small faces on the keepsakes menu??
is that a "Coasting" song from transistor?
The outro made me moist
i'm sorry what's up with the laura palmer picture?
lmao @ the bomb size not being correct
Question regarding zag aspect, does the crit chance stack with artimes' attack?
And do her other boons stack up for a higher crit chance as well? Like pressure point + attack.
5:21 wtf why… Just why… Especially if you're removing tidal dash, why keep thunder dash? Just doesn't make sense to me this change.
I feel like a lot of the nerfs are targeting a specific speed run build, which is the adamant rail eris aspect with Zeus attack, Poseidon dash + seastorm and Athena for the call. The scalling for Athena's call is kinda butt cheeks ngl. I personally don't understand nerfing a single player game, where the majority of players just play casually.
I hope they change the button mapping for the Achilles aspect. I am so used for pressing "Special" to recall the spear, it is weird that to jump to it with "Special" while "attack" still makes it come back to Zag. In my head I want to dash to the spear with the "attack" button as I generally want to attack right after dashing to it. It is just soooooooooooo awkward to use. Like even the tool tip for Zag says to use special to recall the spear, so it's like I am having to deprogram that out of my head.
Please Supergiant, please let me button map the dash to "attack." I want to use it more, but I am too busy messing up because I am fumbling over yall's awkward default button mappings.
I am playing on Switch.
