Tbh when 3 came out and I played it I killed Hades with so much sympathy. Bro didnt deserve the disrespect.
Hades must easily be the most frustrated god in the GoW franchise. Every time Kratos escapes the underworld, it's Hades' job to fix the Kratos-shaped hole that he leaves behind.

So in Greek mythology, like actual Greek mythology, if you are able to escape the Underwolrd its kinda like once you cross the threshold of the Underworld and return to the mortal realm then you are just "magically" alive again. For example, in the myth of Orpheus all he had to do was lead Eurydice out of the Underworld and once they crossed over she would have just magically been alive again. Obviously Orpheus failed but that's still the basic concept. And in the God of War games they seem to basically follow that logic. As long as you can get out you're good it's just that nobody ever gets out lol. Except Kratos.
