Heavy Knuckle got buffed! How do we feel about it now? /Hades/

NOTE: the PC version got a small buff to Heavy Knuckle (35 to 40 base damage), this is not live on the Switch version just yet.

TL;DW feels kind of like a side grade to me still, would rather take other hammers most of the time.

  1. Nice to see some coverage on boons that I've not yet had a chance to play with too much. Myself I'm currently experimenting och some form of "thorns"-build. Any tips on boons to look for there?

  2. I just had a heavy knuckle run similar to this w/ Demeter fists w/ Aphrodite Attack + Ares Special. It was really weird as every boon I was given felt like it didn't synergise with the rest of my kit. I found I destroyed bosses very quickly although normal rooms took me ages.
I think I prefer not running heavy knuckle though as I'd rather have the faster punches but smaller damage, helps w/ proccing boons and zipping in and out of enemy attacks before interrupting my own attack.

  3. "Rama special dm falls at end game."

Umm it's all rng, you need to try it more times.
If you manage to get 30% special speed, double strike and legendary Rama special damage is insane late game..
It's just not likely to get all of them though.
I have runs with Rama special Zeus which is so easy because I got everything I need and runs that I struggle cuz I'm missing special speed and legendary. The gap is VERY big.
Basically it's about same damage output as Zeus shield special if you manage to get everything.

  4. Heavy Knuckle is definitely a DPS increase now. Let's be honest, we just don't compare it to Malphon attack builds that actually use its base numbers in any way (because we don't do them, lol). Kinda because it feels like they are in the same league as most "vanilla" Spear builds (meaning, those that use modified base attack/special numbers and not casts, Doom or something).
And the trend of Supergiant buffing already decently powerful things until they are hideously murderous doesn't help with evaluation of the rest of the stuff (they probably forgot about).
