Zagreus is an incredibly complex character, but I’m confident that Pathfinder 2e’s detailed character creation system will make it possible to represent all of his abilities 1-to-1 within the game! Here’s how to play Zagreus in Pathfinder 2e!

  1. I think ancestral paragon into unconventional weaponry would be a better 3rd level feat since the bunker buster is an advanced weapon. Getting point blank shot to ignore the volleg trait on it and a longbow would also be prudent

  2. I love this kind of video. You did a stellar job of capturing Zagreus as a character as well as his game's mechanics. It really goes to show how versatile PF2e's character creation is.

  3. I'm a sucker for this kind of content. Characters from Final Fantasy games and Fighting games would probably draw a lot of views. My favorite character is Link, which already seems like a fighter type with the plethora of weapons he uses throughout the games. Possibly a ranger or rogue dedication with his reliance of light armor and dodging

  4. As a bit of a mythology-buff, I feel I have to thank you NoNat1s for considering the actual Greecian underworld when creating Zagreus in PF2 instead of just going with the bog standard christianization image of the underworld we see in popular media these days.

Also, no demographic info for older than 44? I feel under-represented lol.

  5. As a person who worships these Gods and Goddesses I agree with you. ALL of the Gods and Goddesses are celestial regardless of where they 'live'. Hades himself is not evil no matter how many people portray him this way. So Zagreus being Aasimar is good call. I agree with the class as well. If he learned from Achilles then he would be a Fighter. You could say Barbarian, but I think that applies to Achilles alone. As for the conclusion: Yes this is what a Deity or Demigod should be gameplay wise in 2e.

  6. I should have done a prediction list before viewing this. Human Aasimar Fighter with Free Archetype and Multitalented at level 9? Only thing I called differently is that you'd use the Ancestral Paragon free feat rules, so that you can start with Natural Ambition at level one for another Fighter feat, and score two more racial feats along the way besides.
That said, interesting twist with the Archer and Mauler dedications…
Double also: love this because it gives me more of an idea for a Bayonetta build. Probably along similar lines to this concept, but with Witch instead of Sorcerer.

  7. If it weren't for the fact that Exemplar is fairly weird with its proficiencies AND it doesn't start out or progress the same as a Fighter, I would've suggested that class as I feel it's not too unreasonable to say that it would work. The problem with Examplar is that the Ikon mechanic kinda screws things up and makes things more complicated to sort through. Maybe somebody could make it work, or maybe it's best to wait and see how the class will look in its full release. But yeah, Fighter just makes sense. Though Champion isn't unreasonable.
