The anvil takes away one random hammer buff, returns 2 random hammer buffs
Ares spoke to you first in this run, but Athena was the one who Nyx reached out to, and who gave you a boon at the very beginning of your first run! So of course she's mad you would pick someone else over her haha
The importance of poms shows in this run. You had great boons but damage felt underwhelming especially the doom because you only got a single pom in this run and the rest were level 1.
Regardless, great run with the bow. You'll get used to it eventually.
If you want to use a random weapon, why don't you use the random darkness-boosted weapon? It's not huge, but the extra darkness means slightly more healing too.

Nice, made it back to the temple twice in a row! The bow is my second favourite weapon. It can sometimes feel really slow to me, but the way it tends to force caution can help me get quite far. Exagryph and the sword are my struggle weapons. Reloading, ugh, and the sword feels so slow.
Got the fishing rod too, nice! That’s what the sharp “ding” is meant for, to alert you to a fishing spot in the room. You’ll see a sparkly spot in whatever passes for water in the realm you’re in. They can be hard to see in Elysium. Might seem silly to pause momentum for a quick fishing cast but the rewards are worth it, you’ll see.
