🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd, and I’ve been playing video games online for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us, etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc.), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games, too!

My guy, you gotta READ the concoctions in the cauldron. And look at the reagents in your book of shadows. The game is trying to tell you where to go.
In the first game rare crop only improved boons that were already in your possession when picked. So boons after it is picked don’t benefit from it.
Hi Odd, I commented that you can see the speech bubble above the real Hecate, that's not correct!
In this fight 14:38 all three had the speech bubbles above them.
Sorry for the misinformation.
Ps: Bronze can only be found later, as not to spoiler it.
At around minute 6 you popped open the Book of Shadows that I mentioned a few episodes ago. You can see your relationship with the npcs there BUT you need to first read a specific incantation at the cauldron.
Upd: ah, you found it later. I really need to learn to watch till the end before I type lol
Today’s tip is about how encounters work:
Each region of the game has a set number of locations. Erebus has 11, Chraron or a free reward is in chamber 12, then Hecate's in 13, Oceanus goes from chambers 14 to 23, with Charon or free reward in 24, Scylla being in 25, then fields of mourning is weird, because it has a set number of locations, but each location can have multiple encounters. (I could be mistaken about the numbers here, so correct me if I’m wrong)
Encounter difficulty in the game scales with how many locations you’ve been to. Hades 1 works by drawing “easy encounters” for the first x rooms in a region, and “hard encounters for the remaining” I have to imagine hades 2 works the same way.
While this isn’t really that useful to know and doesn’t really help much for the majority of the game. Since while encounters like shop or arachne or narcissus or echo do advance the room counter, they also get you closer to the boss, so it doesn’t make a difference in their respective regions in the game. But because of how Tartarus works, with its variable rooms, this does actually make a pretty big difference. Because every chamber you take that isn’t mandatory, including visiting Hades, gets you closer to the cut off where the game transitions from easy encounters to hard encounters, without getting you closer to chronos, and so, by taking more rooms, not only do you have to fight more encounters, the encounters that you do fight will also end up being harder on average than if you rushed to chronos. Now of course hades is still a really really nice encounter that you almost never want to skip, but if you run into hades later in Tartarus, after you’ve already hit the threshold for easy rooms, it won’t have the same downside as if you replace one of the potential easy rooms you can see with a free chamber.
Anyways, sorry for the long one today, but good luck, and death to Chronos.
Oreads are mountain nymphs. That had further names based on which specific mountain they hailed from, but the general term for all mountain nymphs was Oread. Echo is one such nymph, cursed by Hera to only be able to speak the last few words spoken to her.
Mr Odd! You lost a few times where you could have rarified a boon as a result of your Keepsake. Remember to keep that in mind for future runs!
You've read where to find bronze: it's an ore on the surface path, not in the underworld. The surface is NOT past Chronos, it's an slternate path Hermes has mentioned before. You need to open it via Cauldron
to get bronze you need to go up to the surface instead of dead
Re: hearts
You only get a keepsake for the first gift you give. I haven't maxxed out any relationships yet so I don't know about this game, but in the previous one you just gave further gifts to progress the relationship (such as romance with Meg/Thanatos/Dusa) or for story reasons but you didn't get any additional gifts past that original keepsake. In this one you also have bath salts but those you can only give at certain points to certain people (you can see the bath salts icon inside some of the hearts on characters like Hecate)
Also, here's a fun idea: next you battle Chronos, try to pause the game, see what happens 😛
New Episodes are waited eagerly ! Lets goo !
There were no icons for the keepsakes before the patch, now there are one for each.
This game would really benefit from alternate paths so you don't have to follow the same chain of bosses every night. As cool as the Siren's sing is, it's starting to lose its luster for me.
Now do this build with apollo and his legendary, also you definitely want Aphrodite vs Heph on the axe.
Frustrating that odd continues to miss talking to the dog.
But great run! Really enjoying the daily episodes.
So what are the chances Odd defeats Chronos before he realizes there is a surface path? They're seeming good lol
Solid run! Bosses often live in phases of three, IIRC, so just don't get discouraged!
You only need to gift the gods twice, once for the keepsake and 2nd time for the fated list, the 2nd applies to all that gives you boons, that includes Selene Echo Chaos Narcissus…etc.
If you want to see Heroic boons, gift Narcissus. Also gift Echo, her keepsake is also pretty useful.
Also, take a second and read over the cauldron… please?
about Hades' Boon – you had already spent 2 Death Defiances, so the boon giving you extra 10% per would give you a 20% damage bonus against EVERYONE instead of a single 20% burst against Chronos 🙂
Blast is similar to darn. Darn it. Blast it. The Internet says its common in the UK and US. I've heard it a lot in the US
PLEASE read the concoctions in the cauldron odd. It will help you a lot
