I Finally Tried HADES and Now I Can't Stop Playing HADES

SUPERGIANT set out to make a roguelite, so of course HADES turned out to be one of the best ever made.

  1. Never really got into Hades honestly. I think Enter the Gungeon spoiled me, as it's just better in every single way.

I've played for about 70 hours, completed the original storyline and got the ending, and completed the relation path with a few npcs, but I was just playing to know more about the story and it's characters, not because I was actually having fun.

Once again, I can't recommend you Kenshi enough. A series of that game would be incredible with your style of playing/narrating.

  2. Goddammit, Blargho. Every time you play a game, it makes me want to play it. This game is SOOO GOOD. Been watching your Dark Souls 2 series again. It's fun to watch along with your Elden Ring playthrough. Some things have stayed the same. Some things, like naughty words, have decreased hard in the intervening times. It's fun to think about how this type of thing wasn't possible until we, as a species, developed recording capabilities. I get to know your onscreen persona now as well as Blargho from almost 10 years ago. How cool is that?

  3. If you want to tame the build randomness a bit: whenever you accept a boon from a god you 'lock them in' for the rest of the run, up to 4 different gods maximum. This does not include Hermes and Chaos.

So if you reaaaally think a certain God would round out your build, try avoiding accepting boons from other Gods!
