I hated it by 40 pages in. Poor execution.
I’ve gotten back into retellings lately and Hades and Persephone Curse of the Golden Arrow is one of my fav retellings. I'm almost finished with the second book "The Golden Blade" and it's sooooo good. Both are illustrated novels which really makes it unique.
I only read the first one – at the time I just wanted to read some romance in english to work on my reading(not my first language!) Without thinking too much and it did serve that purpose🤣 but I thought the first one was more than enough…
I guess having absolutely no expectations helped me 😆
