  2. I had absolutely no expectations of a sequel but I could not be happier about it, Hades is my favorite game of all time and I can’t wait to get more of it. I can’t wait to watch your Hades 2 content!

  6. Wildly excited for this game. They openly discouraged the idea that there would be a sequel or DLC for so long when it would have made them a ton of extra money that I know they would have not made a sequel without having a strong idea of how to make Hades better.

  15. I can’t wait for this game!!!
    I got the 1st one like 6 months ago and instantly became addicted putting like 300 hours into it. Now I’m probably gonna do some more play throughs because of this news!

  16. Some things I noticed:

    1) at first I thought the god chained up @ the end of the trailer was hades because of the beard and the voice actor talking, followed up by melinoe saying “wait for me father, I’ll be there soon.” But upon reflection i think it’s more likely that’s straight up just chronos & happens to have the same beard as his son hades. Because he got grey hair & is wearing gold briefs. He also looks alot less pale than hades.

    2) melinoe has the same MOON emblem as Artemis. This is probably because both arthemis and melinoe based on Greek mythology both worship the same gods. Melinoe is also a nymph. And as anyone who played a decent amount of hades should know, arthemis is tight w nymphs.

    3) the frog. Hecate is commonly referred to as heqet – a god with a frog head

    4) the witches that stand next to Hecate in the trailer look SUSPICIOUSLY like the wretched witches!!

    5) NEMESIS! She’s straight up holding the same sword u can unlock! I’m calling it right now, the devs are gonna put in some sort of call out for the speed running community with her

    6) @ 03:40 after killing two enemies she TURNS HER BODY TO THE LEFT TO FIRE ADJACENT! New mechanic!

    7) Apollo’s ability says “standing in cast gradually regenerates magick”
    So I’m guessing beside attack, special and cast, there will now be magick which takes up mana. New mechanic. It is a sequel after all.

  19. brooooo, I actually thought of you upon seeing the announcement, wanting to see more of your gameplay once its out and man I must say, I can't contain my happiness to see a sequel for this such wonderful game. I only hope the upcoming one is as good as the first or better. so much hype!

I wanted it to be zags daughter. the person we see imprisoned I believed to have been an aged zagreus but I'm disappointed to now know its his sister and that was probably an aged Hades instead ( the white hair) . sigh. I had a whole canon mapped out in my head since I watched that trailer and I feel so weirdly shattered now lol. I just thought it made more sense to have new new protag to go rescue the protag we played in the precious title, much more immersion and attachment etc etc. obviously it's gonna be a great game and as they said it is based on mythos but still lol

    I'm shivering, now…
    So pumped to see (and play) more of it !
    Got a hunch that "the best teacher is out there" refers to a certain someone with feet of fire who happened to be very cozy with half of Olympus's gods.

    I'M SO FREAKKING HAPPY !!!

  32. im very surprised! i just started playing Hades earlier this year and i had heard about the track record of SuperGiant having not done sequels. So as a new fan im ecstatic that i will have plenty more Hades content to delve into in the future!

  35. Started playing a month ago and have played played it for like 80 hours in that time. After the story ended and the prologue as well I wanted a sequel so bad but everywhere I looked they said Supergiant Games never makes them. I AM BEYOND HYPED!

  40. I'm so excited for this! I LOVE witches and we clearly have the main character Melinoe being mentored by Hecate, goddess of witchcraft!

    Melinoe is pronounced 'Mel-in-noy'. She is the goddess of ghosts. Hecate is pronounced 'Heh-cah-tay'.

  45. Man I want so many games to be in hades art style or even crossovers, imagine mr dark(rayman main villain) with his minions in this art style and rayman’s gloves is basically the first of malphon turning it into an action game with ranged fists instead of a platformee
