It's funny how John Lithgow went on to voice Lord Farquaad (who is based on Michael Eisner) in DreamWorks' Shrek three years after James Woods took over the role of Hades (who is apparently based on Jeffrey Katzenberg).
I'm getting such a weird uncanny valley feeling watching this. it's like I walked into an alternate reality where Hades more or less acts the same, but you can tell something is off. could you imagine if we got this movie instead. would we still love Hades like we do now?
I'd have to imagine Disney probably still has all these old Lithgow recordings somewhere; Nik Ranieri did mention in the Facebook posts that these were sourced from, that John recorded basically all of Hades' lines before James Woods was brought back. I don't think that any of them (outside of those two) will ever surface to the public though, be it officially or by some unforeseen gigaleak.
Incredible!

It seems just so… weird to me hearing someone else voice Hades.
