Very interesting. Just wanted to add from my experience with the .25 cal Baracuda Hunter Extreme is that they were very loose in the breech, almost to the point of automatically assuming an intentionally manufacturer defect. Every other brand of pellets used in that rifle fit snug. Strange eh? (.25 Hatsan Mod 125)
Also in respects to the hades vs. exact wouldn't it be fair to say that the hades is a good close to medium range hunting pellet and the exact would be a good all range pin point hunting pellet? I'm just assuming with me having no actual experience with a scenario exactly like that but just a hunch of mine after slinging a few thousand here and there. For example, a raccoon Headshot at 200ft? Or even 300ft. you'd think that the hades would crack him good but just maybe fracture the skull while the exact would penetrate through killing the raccoon? I just get that sorta feeling when using the two pellets even though they should have relatively close ft lb drop off rates at similar distances?? Did I just type that for no reason? I think I did? Ya
Your rifle is underpowered. In 177, try at least 18 ft lbs and in .22, try 30 ft lbs. Hades will expand much more.
It's like debating what tires are best for a car that only goes 12 mph.
Do you have more examples of the cast .22 vs .177? Astonished.
