ABOUT THIS GAME

Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.
BATTLE OUT OF HELL
As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.
UNLEASH THE FURY OF OLYMPUS
The Olympians have your back! Meet Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, and many more, and choose from their dozens of powerful Boons that enhance your abilities. There are thousands of viable character builds to discover as you go.

BEFRIEND GODS, GHOSTS, AND MONSTERS
A fully-voiced cast of colorful, larger-than-life characters is waiting to meet you! Grow your relationships with them, and experience thousands of unique story events as you learn about what’s really at stake for this big, dysfunctional family.
BUILT FOR REPLAYABILITY
New surprises await each time you delve into the ever-shifting Underworld, whose guardian bosses will remember you. Use the powerful Mirror of Night to grow permanently stronger, and give yourself a leg up the next time you run away from home.
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE
Permanent upgrades mean you don’t have to be a god yourself to experience the exciting combat and gripping story. Though, if you happen to be one, crank up the challenge and get ready for some white-knuckle action that will put your well-practiced skills to the test.

SIGNATURE SUPERGIANT STYLE
The rich, atmospheric presentation and unique melding of gameplay and narrative that’s been core to Supergiant’s games is here in full force: spectacular hand-painted environments and a blood-pumping original score bring the Underworld to life.

  1. Hi i've got a question very quick, i don't know how to give Ambrosia to gods, i gave one to Ares and Poseidon because i could do it but i don't know how. I gave every nectars i could to Zeux and Artemis but i still cannot give them Ambrosia, how can i do it ?

  3. I think you underestimate black shawl a bit honestly. 60% damage striking a foe from behind in a room fight on the first hit and then 30% if you stay on their back is pretty powerful. Think of bow shots, bull rushes, guan yu throws, etc. It might not be the best later on but for tartarus/asphodel it can clear rooms out much faster and save you a lot of time for Elysium. Besides, you don't really need a defensive keepsake for those areas once you are comfortable with the game. All that said shaping the run with god keepsakes early is still stronger overall imo but not nearly as interesting a way to play.

Distant memory though, more like distant meme

  4. one thing I feel was missing is that sometimes, when your wear a god-forcing keepsake from Asphodel up, the game may rqrely decide to force Hermes first, and only after the chosen god. If you get extremely unlucky this can cause the "forced" god to not appear at all

(it happened once to me, probably also due to me avoiding hammers for a while, which are also forced by the game and can eat up exit slots)

  5. Sisyphus keepsake just feels like the "fuck it, good for a laugh" type item you put on when you want to see if you can get away with doing a run without any boons. Boons are too useful NOT to pick up, so that's the only reason I can see picking it.

  6. The most interesting & informative part of this guide was learning that there are only 4 gods that are shown per run. I noticed there was definitely seeding, like for example if you give up and go back to your last save the run will be very similar if not exactly the same for at least the 1st few rooms. I only thought that if you have a certain god's boon already equipped that you have a higher chance of seeing that god again? Not sure if that is still accurate as well, or if that was wrong entirely? Good to know about the 4 god thing though, does that include boons in Charon shops as well? or are those separate and we're just talking about a limit of 4 natural gods for rooms only? Also if you do force a god that isn't 1 of the natural 4, does that mean the god you forced takes the place of 1 of those 4? or do you now just have 5+ gods that show up (original 4 + whoever you forced)?

  7. Skull Earring: Is better than it looks. Since DD returns you at 50% HP you are already fairly close to the threshold again. I also cannot overstate how well this combos with Dionysus. Hangover has few %damage scaling opportunities and on top of that Positive Outlook works very nicely with this keepsake.

Pierced Butterfly: I find this to be a trap. It slows down runs, prevents you from shaping your run and at the end of it, you're looking at perhaps 30-40% damage for your troubles. It's easy to just shape your run and then slap on Earring or Distant Memory for the last portion and get a very comparable damage buff.

Shattered Shackle: This can make it much easier to beat Charon in Tartarus, which can be huge. Besides that it is also a safety net. When you don't yet have rerolls and RNG decides not to give you an attack boon.. well guess what, Sisyphus got you covered.

Black Shawl: Notably both bonus can apply together. It does have one niche use with a Phalanx Shot+Parting Shot build. To my knowledge Phalanx shot, at least on hera bow, is always considered a backstab. Outside of that exact scenario Shawl is still pretty terrible though.

Finally on Poseidon for farming runs: Note that Ocean's Bounty only works on room rewards while chaos boons work on Throves, Purchased Gems/Darkness & Bouldy drops as well.

This is all very subjective ofc and your millage may vary.

  8. what does it mean when you fulfill the relationship with the keepsake giver? I've noticed that some texts and new icon pops up in the keepsake description but i don't know if it do some boost in the effect

  9. I learnt the 4 god limit when I went for an all gods invitation run and was 1 short with Demeter left for a deliberate dud run(for the story ofc). I also suspected something along those lines after my 40~50th run.

  10. To clarify: once boons from 4 different gods spawn into rooms you're in then you're locked in to those 4? Or do you have to take boons from 4 gods for it to lock in?

Also, after you have the 4 and use a keepsake to force a fifth, do all 5 then have an equal chance to be found?

    Loving the content.
