Yeah, so this stream started late because Sophie was missing and we were frantically looking for her. Turns out she was stuck in a dresser drawer. CATS! Cats. Little bit of a slow start to the stream but hopefully they’ll be smoother as we settle in better and I don’t have housekeeping to do (and also my cat doesn’t hide).
Things we talk about: Mythology and culture. How the stories we tell shape our understanding of the world, and how the stories we tell are shaped by our understanding of the world. The story of Medusa as reclaiming one’s power when culture tries to blame you for your own trauma. Are any of you actual scholars or experts in these fields? Please be gentle with me, I’m mostly just a hobbyist meddler meandering through other people’s fields.
Things we do: Actually play the game and fight some minibosses. Meg beat me up! I get the feeling that’s canonical. She’s cool, though. Pretty sure her voice actor was inspired by Disney’s version of her, for some reason? Also, I’m a little worried about having made Poseidon mad. If this game is going to have “making friends with the gods” as part of its gameplay, I’m going to have to do my best with that…
