  1. I'm so sorry that people have been getting really hostile with the advice on this series. I can understand the urge to backseat, but it's very silly to backseat a game that was prerecorded months in advance, and it honestly just makes me sad that some people have been getting upset at you for not playing "optimally." You two are some of my favorite youtubers, so I hope you don't let any of that shit get you down, and I hope Casey recovers from their illness soon. I've been really enjoying this series and I'm looking forward to seeing more!

  2. Sorry to see that people have been dicks lately. But I just wanted to say that you guys are what I've been looking forward to after work for the past couple weeks, legit highlight of my day to relax and have some good laughs.

  3. the stacked doom + festive fog was really eating through the hydra. it might not be the most optimized build, but even then the story about Ian at McDonald's lasted longer than the entire hydra bossfight.

  4. It's interesting seeing what Ian has decided to value boon-wise after half a dozen episodes. Ares nonwithstanding, of course. I'm more surprised of how little store he seems to place in hammers, probably because of how actually bad the offers have been for him during his last few shield runs.

  5. Oooooh y'all met my favorite character this part!

Ian's still doing really well. I know it's frustrating to continually lose to Theseus and Asterius considering he beat them on his first try, but damn, he's getting to that point without losing a Death Defiance. Impressive!

  6. This playthrough is a mchecking delight, your personalities and stories and the way you so genuinely interact with the game and its characters are wonderful. In a way I'm glad this is all pre-recorded so the minmaxers in the comments don't get the chance to optimize your fun out of it. Hope dealing with the negativity doesn't stain your memory of the game!

  7. This series drives me absolutely insane cause I know it's prerecorded and I don't wanna backseat game anyway but also every time you miss something I scream inside… And the fact that you're legitimately really good at the game immediately makes it worse. Thank you I need to learn to keep my input to myself and just enjoy people playing games I like and this is great

  8. I really enjoy watching an episode of this playthrough each morning 🙂
I think the Ambrosia / Darkness exchange was a good deal this early in the game – I suspect that extra death defiance is gonna make a difference.
Re: Casey's tongue burning story – honestly i was going WHAT as well

  9. Ian less than a minute in "I am not having this conversation with you AGAIN" took me out. The sentence sounded like it was over and then AGAIN. Great rhyming title Casey, Im impressed! Ok 42 minutes left, onwards!

  10. "Theseus is gay and homophobic" is such a hilarious and correct take. How easy the bosses are is an amount of skill, but also a lot of luck and it depends on the build which takes time to learn. I dont think I even saw the Champions for 10+ runs thought, youre doing great.

  11. The complete panic just dashing around ignoring Asterius and throwing his shield directly into Theseus’ shield over and over instead of the unarmored target was rough but damn Ian did lock in after a bit, it was almost enough too. Here’s hoping next time he remembers what he already said about hiding behind the pillars lol

Theseus is hard as shit until you get used to him, I lost to him like 5 times myself before beating him for the first time. It’s a much more methodical fight once you learn it but it feels like absolute chaos until then.
