  2. Onto the second installment of the Unofficial Official BLG HADES thirst list!
Also! BLG QotD: My favorite color is purple while my favorite animals are snakes!
Also, I don't know how much you want to talk about that community poll Casey, considering the numbers we we're seeing in this list :p

    Speaking of!

    Zagreus: Ian 2 / Casey 2

    Athena: Ian 1 / Casey 2

    Artemis: Ian 0 / Casey 3

    Dionysus: Ian 0 / Casey 1

    Charon: Ian 0 / Casey 1

    Megaera: Ian 0 / Casey 5

    Hypnos: Ian 0 / Casey 0

    Hades: Ian 2 / Casey 2

    Nyx: Ian 0 / Casey 2

    Zeus: Ian 0 / Casey 0

    Sisyphus: Ian 1 / Casey 2
    Achilles: Ian 0 / Casey 0
    Aphrodite: Ian 1 / Casey 1

    Total: Ian 7 / Casey 21

    Times Cerberus was pet: 2

    Times Skelly died: 1

I was honestly expecting Dionysus and Aphrodite making bigger impacts, but I guess not! The thirst has calmed down a bit from episode 1, but that's fully to be expected. Very much looking forward to the reactions to the characters we haven't seen yet!

  3. What’s funny is I say all the same thirsty shit abt the gods in this game, and I’m ace, keep m guessing I say. Whether you’re joking, serious, cool just in your imagination, doesn’t matter since people will project whatever they first think of when it’s up in the air, so it’s really more them sharing about themselves and how they would see things in your shoes without your life and internal world for context and I find that kinda fun

  4. Favorite color is teal blue, favorite real-world animal is a tie between squirrel and dolphin, unless dragon is an option in which case dragon.

Oh, I remember that poll! I forget what I voted, though.

I just realized Ian is probably going to run into the issue where he manages to start getting winning runs a lot earlier than the average player so character dialogue about events will get all backed up and wind up showing up at weird times.

I'm laughing out loud at the [CENSORED] over Aphrodite =)

Yeah, Zagreus is such a great character.

  5. Given that this was apparently recorded months in advance, I'm guessing you guys won't be able to react or response to any of the comments, at least not until this set of recorded videos are through. It's a shame, since I saw a few people ticked off that you kept referring to the Underworld as "Hell" which isn't the same thing (in fact, it's a common misconception), so I guess they're just going to have to find a belt to bite down on and deal with it for now.

But as for the game itself, one of the things I like most about this game is how it's story perfectly compliments the gameplay loop of dying repeatedly as you try and escape the Underworld; things change in the Hall of Hades, characters have new things to say, and different escape attempts offer different chances of interacting with various characters, not just the Olympian Gods whenever Zagreus accepts their Boons, but also characters like Sisyphus. Story and side quest progression depend on just how many attempts you do. It also helps that narratively, it's supposed to be impossible to escape the Underworld, thus the game expects you to not do well on your first few attempts, though part of this game's brilliance is just how much Supergiant Games anticipates what a playable is capable of doing or what paths they take. There's actually special dialogue if you manage to reach the end on your first attempt, as well as unique dialogue for doing things in a certain order that the developers accounted for. It truly is a deep and layered game, and that's why it's one of my favorites!

  6. Yeeees I’ve been waiting for you guys to play a rogue like to see how well he does and gotta say it’s been amazing as always. After this I recommend playing have a nice death for another rogue like, either way love your vids and have a nice day

  7. The cheat death line was a reference to the crimes of King Sisyphus, who bound Thanatos(Greek incarnation of Death) using the chains meant for him and prevented all death for a time…poor Than tied up like that.
Sisyphus was supposed to be bound in the underworld because he ratted on one of Zues's affairs/kidnappings of a river nymph to the girl's father the god of rivers.

  8. I’m always so impressed by the sheer amount of contextual dialogue this game has. Really helps make these characters feel alive (despite, you know, living in the underworld).

Favorite color, violet. Favorite animal, sungazer lizard! Fun fact about them, their genus is named after the dragon from the Hobbit: Smaug Giganteus, which is incredibly silly and I love it

  9. Yeah, I get what you mean about Aphrodite. She just seems a bit much (though maybe I'm just biased against her for mythological reasons).

Also, I know this was all recorded months in advance, so this is probably pointless, but please don't worry about playing perfectly! There's no such thing as a wasted run in Hades, every time brings an opportunity to see something new.
