  1. Taking dodge over 2 extra dashes pierced me right through my heart.
Combined with Ian forgetting that he had a second dash for a bit, it really seems that he hasn't fully grasped yet that dashing is like the main way to survive in this game, since not taking any damage by dashing is quite a bit better than a chance to not take damage by dodging.
Can't wait for him to become enlightened and dashpilled.
Although stacking multiple dodge buffs onto each other is very funny, but we're still far away from that.

  2. Casey's Ares gave me a good laugh =)

Ian is doing really well at incorporating the call into combat! Especially considering this is his first run having it. And now that he knows the right button to press.

Ian purchasing the guaranteed trove while failing to spot the one in the room he's currently in is some good irony.

Ooh, looks like it's time for you to meet one of my favorite characters next part!

  3. 32:57 You may have noticed that it's a recurring trend with the gods.

It's actually implied that their blessings… really aren't supposed to be here.

There's a funny theory about this actually, which basically might as well be canon.

So, when you pick up the boon items… those are basically messages from the gods, right?

They're communicating with you and handing over a gift.

And who is the messenger of the gods that would have to deliver these?

    Hermes, of course.

And Hermes, both in mythology and in the game, basically works together with Charon to transport souls to the afterlife.

This partnership is why some people are pretty sure that Hermes doesn't actually deliver all messages to you like he's supposed to, and pawns a bunch of them off to Charon who them upsells them to you even further.

After all, Hermes is also the god of commerce, trickery and thievery, all aspects that feel somewhat unrepresented in this game… unless you view things that way.

Yeah, every time you buy boons from Charon's shop, you're getting double-scammed by him and Hermes, paying for boons that the gods wanted to give you for free.

  4. Casey's impression of Ares now has me picturing him saying some of Jack Horner's lines from Puss in Boots

"What do you think, Artemis, should I wait for the mortals to steal the map and then kill them, or do I just kill everyone all at once?"
"I'm starting to think you don't appreciate the value of a life."
"Whaaaat noooo… I mean I love this guy!"
(Cut to Goose slaughtering everyone and everything in the underworld)

is it bad that i am kinda glad when they die? gives them more chances to get to know all of the characters. they don’t even know dusa yet! my bestest friend in the whole underworld!

  6. 36:17 I hope they don't end up skipping the House sections, ever. There's always something to do, gifts to give, or someone to talk to when you get back. So please don't skip. Your playthrough though, so do what you like best 👍

  7. Hades always felt like he had the most to do with him being portrayed as an administrator while poseidon and Zeus being more carefree plus the mythology paints it that they tricked hades into ruling over hell.

  9. I just noticed that Theseus and Asterius have matching gloves. And I never noticed that if you fight Asterius earlier he starts the boss fight at 1/4 health, well observed! Im always too busy trying not to die lol
