Lore Olympus discussion: Hades and Persephone finally got married!

Now that Hades and Persephone are married, how are things going to go from there? who’s going to be involved in the story more now that they’re a married couple? which villain will come into play? will Demeter be the big baddies? Kronos? Apollo? or all three who knows.

  1. Hera is literally what is the worst fictional sister. And the fact that she decided to just go over and said Persephone shouldn’t wear her wedding dress making Persephone lose more agency is one thing but the fact that the dress is white is what low-key pisses me off. This story is supposed to be a deconstruction of purity culture And Persephone is already queen of the underworld. It should’ve been black.
Edit : there’s a confirmed timeline the first two seasons took the course of one month.

  2. I thought the story was about a young women becoming independent und finding herself, not about a teen jumbing from one parent to another..

I'm not against a female character getting married, but the story frames it as her ultimate goal and end of character arc..

  3. I can't enjoy the wedding for a couple of reason

1 – Both Hades and Persephone at this point know that Apollo is planning a full on coup and none of them are doing anything! Hello Hades, the serial rapist who assaulted your wife is planning on overthrowing your brother, most likely through your wife's power! Why aren't any of you doing anything about that! You're already in great standing with Zeus! Like can the wedding not wait till after they get rid of the guy planning on taking over. Or the literal child trapped in Chronos that he used to take over the entire underworld.
It just feels so odd that with all these pressing issues, they decide to just go fuck it all for a rushed wedding.
Like I can understand if this wedding was like long planned so they decide to go through with it anyways because why stopped when it was already planned

2 – Demeter bashing, not gonna lie, makes me a bit uncomfortable that the author made Demeter, one of the very very very very very very few greek gods that's not a rapist or completely insane(like hera making heracule murder his wife & children, Aphro multiple crimes, etc, etc), into basically a irrational villain because he wanted to do a "deconstruction of purity culture"
I repeat, while fantazing/fetishizing a greek pair where in some stories Hades is basically a kidnapper who kidnapped a young girl and did a lot of unsavory things to her. She then demonize the caring mother figure for
    check notes
Purity & not wanting her recently turned 19 daughter(granted it's ancient greek so who knows how their age of consent law go to but you get the point) to have fucked other gods, y'know the gods that are often assaulters(even in Lore Olympus canon) and want to use her for her power then anything else, which we know in it's history is a common thing.(Let's not forget that Zeus in greek myth basically trapped Hera through marriage.)

3 – Artemis still doesn't know about her brother. She was with Persphone for 10 years straight and they never talked about all the drama!? Like I get the "the abused have trouble speaking about their past" but like come on!

4 – Needs more Zeus, Zeus is my greek god for many reasons lol. Mostly cause he's the most interesting case study to look into.

Since the wet fart that was the chronos fight my interest in Lore Olympus is as brittle as balsa wood.

  4. I just LOVE that Rachel had Metis somehow heal Persephone's hands. You know, the scarred green hands from how hard she worked and she got over the 10 years? way to go, you erased a cool trait that Persephone had! No scars ever on our perfect main girl!

I just think Rachel got lazy and didn't want to color the green hands anymore. I'm still mad about the hands…

EDIT: Because you brought it up in the video, I'm still PISSED that Rachel just uses rape as a plot device and never addresses it. Wow. Amazing. My trauma is a plot point for you. It just reeks of lack of research and nuance and it is just plain INSULTING.
