You went into this without the +10% duo thing, right? I think generally it's better than the higher chance for epic, as duos and legendaries are usually incredibly important for runs.

Hey reto good crystal meme run. And because of what you talked about in the episode I thought I'd give my two cents. First about the cthonic companions, to me , a player who has no more purpose for darkness or gems and has healing reduced for heat the 1000 damage and small aoe makes shady the 4th best companion in my book, I think battie and mort are much better because of their far greater damage and range and the fact that they can now be used against papa which was the only real selling point for shady before 1.0 . And as for a crystal beam focused run heres the load out I try to aim for: stygian soul mirror setting, aspect of poseidon or achilles, crystal beam, glacial glare, arctic blast, killing freeze, winter harvest, cold embrace, mirage shot, pressure points, fully loaded, auto reload, bad news, urge to kill, and either grasp or shot chaos boons. Just my opinion though, your runs are fun and varied enough as is

If you want go with cast build I would recommend Achilles aspect It goes up to 150% cast damage

Trust me on this one, the recharging cast is so much better for this
Duration up matters, you will position them all over thus increasing your chance to hit. Theres a demeter boon u can get that increases all dmg dealt if you dont have a cast…which will be allways basically, and since u wont place all your casts at once for the full duration of the cast you have a much easier time hitting theseus and not beeing cucked for 5 seconds+ by a piece of rock

Holy molly for the big number god, I just did a Arthur's run with a 4k crit on daddy Hades.
The build was:
-Artemis attack
-shadow slash
-flayed ambush
-abyssal ambush
A total of 366% plus damage from behind
-hoarding slash
They should make an endless mode where you start at 0 heat, but are forced to increase to a certain amount at incremental phases or something like that. That way you can have a really powerful build, while still keeping it challenging

I find it a bit funny that Retro instantly went for Demeter cast despite one of the main parts of the aspect of Posiden is that the special knocks casts out of foes. Which is incredibly solid with exit wounds.

Demeter cast runs can get sooo much stronger with the recharge gem because you can put out like 8-15 lasers if you get the boon that lets the laser chill and increases its duration, ESPECIALLY if you can get more casts from chaos
