There's some people that think Taylor is too cautious but it's basically just him making sure they don't take dumb fights (and get smoked) and having everyone grouped up to focus people. The guy is just good, and more aware than others in Manor. The 'stick it on them' and tunnel vision you get from Ste or Jon doesn't work when there's multiple groups fighting. It's pretty obvious he's by far the best leader they got for fights.
