► Hades 1.0 Full Release Story Synopsis

Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.

As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.

  1. The way you start this episode by hanging up the Trojan Arms you bought last time… I'm imagining the sheer awkwardness of the contractor dropping them off in the center of the room while Meg and Than stare. They were not expecting a visit from the contractor before Zag got back.

  2. So in one run you unlocked Poseidon's final heart, defeated Charon for the second time in a row, and got a bunch of really cool synergies! Shame about the game absolutely refusing to hand you the Duo Boon, but you still made an absolute load of progress.

  3. Hey just so you know, the Legendary / Duo boons will only unlock if you have only a single "one of the following" requirements, that means if you have 2+ boons on the same "one of the following" list, then that Legendary / Duo boon will NEVER appear until you get rid of one of them. So make sure you never go over the limit if you are hunting for those mega rare offerings! The same goes for "Two of the following" as well, if you have more than 2, then it won't work

Keep up the good work this Hades series is my favourite!

  4. For that money run, do remember to use the sword and hopefully you'll get hoarding slash with it. Also, chaos and poseidon have boons that increase money, those will be useful.
Do try out aspect of chaos sometime, it's my fav shield aspect. Works amazingly with ares/dio/zeus on special.

  5. I think you disregarded True Shot in the past because you saw the lower damage number, and that turned you off. But as you've seen, the fact that it can crit means it averages higher damage than advertised, PLUS it homes in on targets, so you don't miss :). Also, I haven't checked in-game, but according to the wiki, True Shot also ignores shields held by enemies like Theseus and the Elysium Greatshields. Worth keeping in mind since you hate both of those ;P

I'm enjoying these lower-heat runs! You really get to see and enjoy all kinds of playstyles 🙂

  6. Fun fact about 34:54! It all comes down to transliteration.
Just as a little disclaimer: I learned this stuff in class, so the knowledge in my brain is in Italian and I'm just doing my best to translate it in a hopefully decent way. Be kind.

There's not one, but two consonants in the greek alphabet that can, broadly speaking, be read with a "k" sound: χ (chi) and κ (kappa).
In my experience kappa would be a more familiar sound to english speakers: it's just a straight occlusive (think about kit or cat… or kitkat). It used to be transliterated as "c" because of Latin conventions, but I think now it's preferred to simply write "k".
Chi is an aspirated occlusive (I think choose is a decent example). So yeah, let's call it a softer sound and be done with it. This one is usually romanised as "ch".
If I remember correctly, in a spoken line Zagreus does use the "ch" phoneme saying charp or chlam, so seeing it written like that makes a little more sense; though I don't remember the greek names for either of those and I'm honestly a bit too lazy to walk across the room and pick up the dictionary. I'll trust the writers on this one.

Hope it helped a bit and also wasn't too boring.
