Odysseus was the son of Laertes, who was the son of Autolycus, who was the demigod son of Hermes, so Odysseus is technically a legacy of Hermes, and it is due to this connection that Hermes offered his assistance to Odysseus and provided him with the moly herb that rendered him immune to the potion of Circe that might have turned Odysseus into an animal otherwise
    Odysseus had not wanted to fight in the Trojan War, but Agamemnon was intent on recruiting him, because he had learned from an oracle that the only way the Greeks can win the war is if the strongest (Achilles) and the smartest (Odysseus) were present
    after Achilles died his prophecized death, shot through his heel by Paris's arrow, Odysseus gained the right to inherit his armor
    Odysseus then came up with the idea of the Trojan Horse and made sure that all the men who hid inside with him remained silent till the time was right

  4. In one version, Odysseus died. Telemachus and Penelope brought him to circe. Circe brought him back to life. Then, Circe made Penelope and Telemachus Immortal’s.

    I think he was made 20 when brought back to life, to grow old and die again with his family.
