  1. On the subject of bad chemistry teachers: mine was a retired police officer who had never done anything to qualify for the job and therefore I know absolutely nothing. Also yes, finals are here, and how dare you, tea is absolutely water 😛

  2. Concerning the game not making it easy to understand its mechanics, I think your problem is that you're trying to learn the mechanics while playing it only in streams (where you also have to concentrate on being entertaining, and with chat giving conflicting advice).

The game does give you quite a few hints organically in its dialogues, and every boon is described fairly well. However, you do need to read the descriptions and not just skim over them, unless you're already familiar with their effects. You also need to be aware which boons, mirror talents, weapon aspect and trinkets you're currently using and how a new boon interacts with them.

One example: In one of your runs, you had Zeus' lightning for your dash and later picked up a boon that adds a status effect to this lightning. Good pick, because you're using the dash very often, so you'll make good use of the status effect.
However, if you only have the Zeus boon where foes are struck as revenge if you take damage, then the status effect is less usefull (unless you plan on being hit very often).

On rare occasions, some boon/weapon aspect combinations can even be detrimental… small weapon spoiler ahead:

The aspect of Eris for Exagryph (the gun) gives you a damage boost after you stand in the blast zone of your Special attack. During one run, I accidentally picked up the Daedalus upgrade "Hazard Bomb". This makes your Special attack much more potent, but as a downside you also take damage from it… which meant I could no longer use the damage boost from my weapon's aspect. I was so mad at myself I almost decided to intentionally die so I could start a new run without my silly mistake.

  3. 28:33 "I die, that's all of Apollo's love interest"
    Dies
"Fuk!!! Oh no I'm one of Apollo's love interest"
Red and… Uhhh… Cyan or indigo: nooooo

First there is "speak not of (Hades and Persephone) their name lest you attract their attention", but now there is "speak not of Apollo and his love interest for it is a death flag and you're gonna get oofed"

  4. Red, are we going to get a video about Hades (the game)? It would be a fun video, dice into the lore, explain how they showed cool details of the real stories, and where they may have taken some liberties.

Idk, seems like a cool video..

  5. Blue, I'm sorry. But this game explains almost everything. You just don't read. Like you need to actually read the entries in the journal, and the keepsake explanations. It makes the game exponentially easier.

  6. 52:20 Okay, so I think I might know what's going on with Eurydice. This might be a reference to the Middle English poem Sir Orfeo, which retold the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. In it, the titular Sir Orfeo (Orpheus), an English king, goes to rescue his wife Heurodis (Eurydice) from the king of the fairies (Hades?). The tree connection is that Heurodis had, prior to her kidnapping, been driven mad beneath a tree in their garden, a madness the poem refers to as "wyld and wode" (wild and wooden).

It may be that this literary device has been made literal by the game. It would be an interesting continuity nod, if true.

  7. I wish there was room on your patreon to request, but if you did a video listing different named types of Djinn, I would be so happy. It requires some light reading of the Koran, but nothing huge

  8. Boring, boring and boring. What a piece of sloppy video. Utterly a fat waste of time. Are most of the thumbs up likes been purchased? (And almost no comments?!?!) LOL what a clickbait channel.

  9. I just finished watching Castlevania s3. I've been upset for an entire week from sympathising with Adrian. They hurt my sweet vampire baby! He's just lonely dammit! 😭

So anyway I am both excited and afraid of season 4

  10. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had mixed feelings about Thor: Ragnarok. I mostly like the overall character development for Thor, but I wish we could have got there without trivializing Loki and Dr. Banner.

  12. MINOR PLAYTHROUGH SPOILERS:

Blue’s transition from 1.) disappointment that Achilles is absent from their usual hangout spot to 2.) accelerating rage when the game wrongly hands his gift for Achilles to MEG (2:374:14) = delight. His swift-footed Zagreus is a Myrmidon at heart :).

  13. The game really does explain itself, but as a streamer you don't really have time to stop and read it, its understandable, but not rerally fair to blame the game for.
