  1. From what I learned, Aphrodite grew jealous of Persephone and thus, Eros and Aphrodite devised a plan to get rid of her. They coincidentally saw Hades listening to the song of Persephone and Eros struck Hades with an arrow. And so, Hades abducting Persephone is not out of his will but rather forced. And they both lived to be tricked into loving each other

  2. Big omission, Persephone loved Hades and was not unhappy about her role as queen of the underworld and when you look at the 3 brothers (Zeus, Poseidon and Hades) she got the best husband for Hades was of a calm and gentle nature, more patient and truly faithful to his wife whom he adored. Of all the olympians, Persephone and Hades just might have the most functional marriage.

  3. I think a correction is in order. Hades did not approach Demeter, he approached Zeus. This is important for two reasons. The first is that, as Persephone's father, he had final say in who her husband was. In other words, if Zeus okayed the marriage, then Demeter's opinion on the marriage didn't matter.
Second is that Zeus swore an oath to Hades that he could have the hand of any of his daughters in marriage, meaning that Zeus could not refuse when Hades asked for permission to marry Persephone.
