  1. Hello my sunflowers! Make sure to check out Hollynn’s video to see the roles reversed. And REMEMBER this is nothing but a wild interpretation. So please do not comment/argue what story is “right” or “wrong”

I love you all so much!

  2. Persephone actually ate 1/3 of a pomegranate, which is 4/12 (4 months).

Hades didn’t really TRICK her, he wasn’t close by when it happened. A (dead) gardener offered her a pomegranate in a garden made especially for her, and she gave in and ate a 1/3 of it due to her love of the fruit. When Hermes came to the underworld to escort her back to the surface—since Hades kidnapped her without consent of Demeter, only Zeus—he discovered she ate a fruit of the underworld, which complicated things. As a deal, she would stay for 4 months with Hades, and the rest with her mother above surface. She agreed since she had fallen in love with the god, but Demeter was still bitter and would be salty, refusing to grow things as well during months. That’s how the Greeks figured Winter/Fall existed. Honestly, this is how I was told the story, it could be a bit different.

  3. It's actually Greek tradition that the husband kidnapped his bride after the wedding and her family ceremoniously chases after her and suggests raunchy things that he can do to her when he gets her alone. 10 out of 10 people agree it was probably the grandma that was the worst because old people have no shame.

  4. Persephone is like an angsty teen that wants to live with her biker boyfriend who turns out to be really nice but her mom gets”what the kids call’bad vibes’”.
