Acheron is the river of woe in Hades.
Hades is an album of experimental electronic music, completely improvised during Power Cycle rehearsals. All that you hear on this album was not planned, but came about amid the chaos of Electric Pizza concert rehearsals, and was then put together as an album. As Santiago was going through archives, he was able to turn these tracks into a cohesive story.
Each track title references a specific location in the Greek underworld, whose attributes coincidentally ended up matching the sonic spaces of the improvised sessions. The music existed first, then the underworld was bestowed upon the music.
The album was put together to flow from track to track, to be listened to all at once.
The music was recorded around 2018-2019.
