When next you meet her I think, the convo goes:
Meg/default (approximation because I skipped by accident): [Scoff] Come on, Zagreus. Are you going to act uncomfortable every time you see me now? More than usual, I mean.
Zag/empathetic: No, it’s just… I felt terrible, turning you away. It’s just… I’ve been so confused lately, and… I trust you. You’re someone I can talk to. I guess I’m… afraid to lose that.
Meg/pleased: Don’t be an idiot, and you won’t. We’ve been through a lot together. Grown, maybe. This particular relationship… it can’t die so easily, I think.
Zag: Thanks, Meg.

Zag/empathetic: Hey, Than, are you OK? I mean, with everything, lately?
Than/pleased: I am. Though, thanks for asking, Zag. The risk of being close with anyone is sometimes things get complicated, fast. Admittedly it’s not a risk I often take, but… in your case, it’s been worth it, all in all. We’re good, all right?
Zag: All right.

Likewise, a rejecting Meg variation:

Meg/pleased: …That’s all you really want…? To be my friend? Heh. You’re hard to figure out sometimes, Zag. But, you know what, we’ve tried a lot of things. Why don’t we try it like you said? I’ll see you out there, then.

Rejecting both (event happens sometime after dating both):

Zag/empathetic: …Hey… look. I care about you. Both of you. A lot. I’m happy we’re this close… you’re this close, rather than being at each other’s throats like before. But, I think it’s all a little much for me, right now.
Meg/pleased: …You’re sure? Look… it’s totally all right. You’ve got enough pressure on you as it is. We’ll see you out there, then.
Than/pleased: Catch up with you some other time, all right?

  5. I haaaate Meg voice (I'm autistic and hypersensitive to voices. Her voice makes me close my eyes and cover my ears, not a joke) and I really want the heart icon of Than. I am super afraid to reject her bc of the consequences, and thank for this video !

  8. Nice. Good job on the devs. Very simple way to acknowledge the possibilities of different orientations of players, or just differences in romantic taste, and allowing the relationship to proceed positively either way. Rare maturity.

I wanted to say this is sadder than if she were yelling or angry but I had to reevaluate my own experiences and learnt toxic behavior and sheeesh, that was a ride, so anyway, now I love how respectful she is and what an amazing representation that even people who "have a temper" can be TOTALLY NORMAL and not abusive or expecting anything that you should not expect of another person. Also I played the game a long time ago and I totally romanced everybody and I adore how there wasn't any jealousy bullshit around that. The fandom too has been amazing so far with polyamory, it's so cool.

  17. i'm lowkey so upset that ease off cuts the romance out of it and sets it back to friendship only because zag and meg deserve to hold hands and spar. I get that it would be kind of ooc for meg to be mushy but like
    where is my ace zag who romances meg option :(((
