  1. I really hope SuperGaint learns from other releases cause I know this is a hot take but I don't think Hades is all that good, the presentation is head and shoulders above a lot of titles even triple A ones but combat is meh to me and baring the need to hear more dialog there's need or core objective to keep doing runs.

  2. Pat may be mistaken on the 4th slot for a specific reason, getting the 4th aspect is dependent on having some requirements done (wich will require the Wiki) and then will require talking with a specific NPC who will provide it. The 4th aspects are in my opinion abit harder to use due to them being either.:
    – Slower move set but higher DMG (allof the aspects)
    – Has the potential of killing you (4th Aspect of the Rail with the Hammer Upgrade that makes your Bombs deal bonus dmg and also hurt you)

  3. Hades is a pretty good game that had one big problem for me, which is that the difficulty curve in a run is wild. When I got a couple of upgrades I would just breeze through the first two zones, barely take lasting damage in the third, maybe take some damage in the fourth, and then promptly lose all of my lives to the final boss. It felt like the whole game was a 30+ minute run back to a single boss.

  4. On one hand, I understand the pain Woolie is expressing when it comes to burning yourself out on a game mixed with having to start over.
On the other hand… streaming Hades from the beginning is just free content. It’s fun and it’s popular. And if Reggie hasn’t seen much of it, he’d be a great co-pilot to have fresh eyes on the stuff Woolie’s already seen.
Now is also the perfect time to start since Hades II is on people’s minds.

  5. How long has it been since Woolie last played the game? Because I can't imagine not wanting to play a better and complete version of the game you claim to love so much. Burnout sounds like a pretty weak excuse.

  6. for me it was starbound that taught me that I don't touch early access games. Not that it was bad or anything but it killed my interest in the greater game by being "yea I've had my fill" on a half finished product.

  7. This is exactly why I avoid early access games. Ultimately, it's QA for the devs. If you want to participate in that crowdsource game testing cus there's a fun game loop, sure sign up and do it….. But do Not expect that you will have any type of cohesion in presentation, narrative, and progress on a game that isn't finished or will be completely refactored multiple times.

This is why Woolie has 50 hours in whats supposed to be the first 5 hours of the games.

Like I got satisfied of the game after around 20 hours….. After I saw the full credits roll 💀

Again, just the unfortunate reality of Early Access.

  8. I feel this with woolie, but with Everspace 2, luckily E2 is phenominal and I look forward to replaying now that full release is upon us. But the hours and hours technically void is a gutting feeling lol

  9. Really interesting listening to this because my first exposure to Hades was Woolie's video back on the old channel. Then I 100% the game in 2020 lol.

  10. Honestly I’d say just cheat engine all the resources you have from your original save into your new game. So same mirror levels and nectars etc. it’s not really cheating, it’s just letting you skip the same grind you’ve already done once before.

  11. Honestly, I'd say just start over from the beginning. I did so myself recently after 100%-ing it a while ago (seems a lot of people have been feeling the itch lately after the sequel was announced). It really doesn't take that long to gather enough resources to get your mirror and weapons back to where you want them, or enough gems to get the non-cosmetic construction projects, or enough nectar to get all of your favorite trinkets. Plus, it's better to experience the story with all of the characters in place.

  12. Fun fact, Zag is voiced by Darren Korb. You know, the composer(like Pat said). He's also the singer for Orpheus' songs.

So when Zag is talking to Orpheus about how great his songs are, how amazing of a singer he is, it is literally Darren Korb complimenting himself
