Returnal was huge for me. Currently my game of the year. It was my first ever rogue like, and I’m currently 50 hours in. I absolutely love it, and it also opened doors for me. Discovering a genre I didn’t think I would like. This kind of changed my perspective. I initially had zero intention of playing hades, but now I can hardly wait to try it.

Man, I'd love you guys to keep making this style of content. Even if Blessing only has a few really good ideas a year, I'd love to see some of the rest of the crew work with Bless and Rog on these too to keep them fresh. I'd love Mike's take on Battle Royales and Coop Gaming, Andy's take on Pixelart/ Retro Gaming and Soulsborne stuff, Tim talking about anything Nintendo related, etc, etc.

Personally I think the next big "Rogue-lite/like" will be something that on the surface may not appear "Roguelike" but still has a lot of rogue-like features. Returnal and Hades gets close, despite them being a Rogue-lite the Story and gameplay progressions really does a great job at making you feel like you are SUPPOSED to die over and over to progress the story/relationships.
Im super interested interested to see how the genre evolves and as you guys said kind of expand past just "Roguelite/like" and spill into other genres more often.
Returnal is great but when you die, its so heartbreaking. I love it.
Seeing returnal had a soft sales I don't think we will see another one from housemarque. Hades with a much smaller budget I thinks a better overall game and even though it was on pc / switch it sold alot of copies way ahead of returnal .
