Returnal is being touted as the first triple A roguelike and a potential contender for game of the year, but what does this mean for Hades which just garnered the same type of attention last year. I take a look at some of the differences in mechanics between the two games in bosses, weapons, game design, and story and form my own take. There is no doubt about it though, regardless of which game is the better Roguetype game, they are both amazing experiences.

This might be nitpick but on a factual level I don't think you need to master all the weapons in Hades. You can just pick the most op one for you and go to town with it. Mastering all the weapons especially the gun is just needless head ache the game is difficult enough witouth self imposes challenges like that.
I'd compare it to Risk of Rain 2 / Control
these games are way to different to compare
Hey sorry im commenting something that doesnt have to do with the video but i need help

I apologize to everyone for the low quality picture. YouTube really did this video dirty at the bit-rate that it re-compresses it to. Between the fast action of the Returnal footage and the YouTube compression, this video looks very blocky. I'll try to avoid similar situations in the future.
Returnals gameplay, enemy designs, and overall encounters is just levels better than Hades.
Wait, this channel has 14.5k subs and this vid has 240 views? That makes no sense.
