► Hades 1.0 Full Release Story Synopsis

Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.

As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.

  1. You might want to just call it a Shattered Shackle+Darkness Farming Run. You're not really avoiding boons, just trying to stick to ones that allow Shattered Shackle's effects (it's multiple independent effects) to trigger.
Also is it just me or is Tisiphone cute in a bizarre way?
    Tisiphone: " Muuurrderr?"
    Zagreus: "Sure. Whatever. Murder."
Tisiphone (like Crocker from Fairly Oddparents): "MURDERER!!!!"

  2. This is the type of game that makes you really feel that you are "speedrunning". Right up until you check a real speedrun and find out that people are clearing it in 6-8 minutes on the in-game timer.

  3. Amusingly enough, the prank Dionysus played is rooted in actual mythology. In classical myths, Zagreus is either a son of Zeus and an obscure but distinct divinity… or another name for Dionysus. This particular tall tale that Dio's having you tell Orpheus is actually a foundational belief of the real life Orphic cult.

  4. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 Once again, no subtitles, which is actually great. It incentivizes me to listen your voice rather than reading texts. Learning English this way. Just saying. Thanks tremendously!

  5. Yes finally it happened 😀 It's funny she was still the first considering how advanced you were with Than initially.
ps: I feel like the gods tend to offer boons depending on what you already have or not, and their priority is to fill that first column of boons, attack, special, cast etc. That's why Poseidon kept offering you the same boons again and again, because you had none there. There was still a small chance to get ocean's bounty but well that didn't happen :s

  6. "WHAT? No need to think!!" That is one of the most realistic thirst responses I've heard lmao
But honestly, this game is rated T, but why is it true the "love scenes" are a thousand times sexier than any from Cyberpunk?

  7. Been waiting for that Meg scene, just like many others. I knew you'd enjoy it (:

You'll notice that the flavor line for Companion Battie now says "Megaera, lover and rival" where as before it said "Megaera, your old flame"
It's just a neat little detail now that you've advanced your relationship to the next level.

And yes, this event is definitely repeatable (:

  8. If you really want to try a run where you avoid boons, in addition to swapping out Dark Foresight for Olympian Favor (like you mentioned), you can also swap out Fated Persuasion for Fated Authority. That way you can try to reroll chamber rewards into things other than boons.

  9. love what a nailbiter this run was, and how having no death defiance and teetering on the brink made you way way better. also it helps that the second stage of the Hades fight he stands around A LOT, leaving him hilariously vulnerable to the Zeus Shield. every time he did the beams, it just chewed away at his health, lol.

It would be fun to do a max-money run, which I would suggest doing with the Stygian Blade on the off chance you get Hoarding Slash from the Hammer.

I would also like to see a LASER RUN, wherein you use the Lucifer Aspect of the Rail, and Demeter's Cast.

last, try doing a really speedy run, and for that, use the Fists, and draw out Artemis aiming for Support Fire, Exit Wounds, the legendary, and probably her Attack too. max crits is probably pretty speedy I would guess.

  10. I CANNOT BELIEVE how unlucky you were with not getting Ocean's Bounty! The number of times you encountered Poseidon and even used all your rerolls. Still, as you said, it was a thrilling run, and I'm glad you got to see that scene at the end too!

  11. Still near the beginning of the run (14:53 when you passed a Hermes and random boon in the shop), but I had a thought. Are you trying to do a "weakest possible run" or a "maximize the effect of the shackle run?" Avoiding all boons to be intentionally weak is one thing, but trying to only take boons that don't interfere with the shackle is another. Hammers, Chaos damage boons, Hermes boons, and the various passive boons from every god along with dashes and calls all work just fine without interfering with the shackle. I would have said those are all fair game if you just want to see how good the shackle can be. I'll edit this later if you comment on these points.

    Edits:
    – If you aren't buying boons, then you could be buying nearly everything from the pools. That would give you more darkness, gems, and random damage buffs. I see you bought a few things in the pools near the end.
    – I would enjoy seeing you do another shackle run, but actively trying to maximize it's effect by getting all the passive boons. This time you were avoiding all damage boons, even if they wouldn't negate the shackle.
