It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out (from his blessed room) and came to us. Let me tell you something that, in my opinion, is more dangerous for you than Dajjal. We said, Holy Prophet! Be sure to tell me what it is. He said: It is hidden shirk (an example of which is) for a man to stand to pray, then lengthen his prayer because someone is watching him pray. (Sunan Ibn Majah)
Maarif Hadith 395

It is narrated on the authority of Mahmud bin Labaid that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The greatest danger I have about you is “Shirk Asghar”. Some of the Companions said, O Messenger of Allah! What does “Shirk Asghar” mean? He said, Riya (i.e. doing a good deed to show off to people) (Musnad Ahmad).

Interpretation
The main purpose and purpose of these sayings of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is to warn his ummah of this danger so that they should be careful, and protect their hearts from this secret type of shirk, so that Satan does not expose them to this secret. Destroy it by indulging in shirk. Maarif Hadith 396
