  1. I just installed the original CD game AOM The titans, but it won't run on windows 10 no matter what I do with the compatibilities settings. Any advice?
Also, If I manage to install it, do I need to update the game with the recent patches to play on voobly for example?

  2. 22:09 surprisingly fitting. Achilles and Odysseus got into a lot of trouble during the Iliad / Trojan War for disrespecting the gods and relics. Special shoutout to Diomedes who doesn't feature in AoM, but fought on the side of the Greeks.

Zeus forbids the gods from taking sides in the Trojan war, but naturally they all do so anyways. Diomedes is about to kill Paris of Troy, but Paris is saved at the last moment by Aphrodite, who is wounded by Diomedes in the process. Aphrodite complains to her lover Ares that a mortal dared to wound her, and the war god is furious, taking to the battlefield in disguise on the side of the Trojans to kill Diomedes. He throws a spear at Diomedes, but Athena secretly deflects the spear so that it just barely misses Diomedes. This gives Diomedes the chance to stab the "Trojan," and Diomedes becomes the rare sort of hero who managed to wound two gods in one day.

Ares complains to Zeus, but Athena argues that Ares shouldn't have even been there, since he was breaking Zeus's order to not interfere with the war. Ares however points out that whether he broke the rules or not doesn't matter, since it sets a bad precedent to tell all the mortals "yeah lol you can stab all the gods no problem." Zeus sends Apollo to go deal with Diomedes. When Diomedes encounters Apollo, he's ready for a fight, but Apollo is deadass "bro you cannot 1vs1 the SUN."

Diomedes says "fair point" and apologises. There's also a parallel between Diomedes, who is favoured by Athena, is valiant, wise, pious and humble – with Odysseus, who is cunning, rogueish and openly holds the gods in contempt and is… Like Athena's insurance option, but she still likes him. I think some of that made its way into the campaign with Arkantos, Ajax and Odysseus
