  1. i dont think zagreus is going to be rolled out as a character later on based off how almost all of his weapons are already taken by the hades 2 cast. i think a lot of people did want to see a co-op and i hope maybe a dlc or third game could fix that craving later down the line

  2. Bought it the moment it released on steam, but i'm still waiting for the 1.0 to play the game, in the meantime I am trying to get all achievements for H1 and maybe beat a 32 Heat run

  3. I love that you included the story thoughts – story is my main draw and that's my biggest concern with early access (which I'm playing and I love). I got into Hades 1 at full release so it was nice to get the whole package at once, and I have to remind myself to not expect the same. But! It's nice to have something to look forward to.

  4. I guess you don't watch the conventions (honestly: mentally healthy, I respect it)? Hades 2 had a whole animated trailer long before it came out, and then another with some gameplay, so a lot of us were champing at the bit waiting for the first day of Early Access.

  5. Yes, it's worth it and more. I loved the first game, excited when news came out about the 2nd game, and it did not disappoint. Now, I'm around 400 hours and it's really rewarding because aside that I'm having fun, when a new update comes, I have all the resources needed to unlock it. The only down side is that the story is not completed yet. And if there's still any, it's most likely a difference in perspective and that's ok.

  6. i love the game a lot more than hades 1 but i wonder how they are gonna end this game, in hades 1 there wete still a reason for zag to go back in tartarus after the story had ended. In here Hades 2 i still cant imagine what would the reason melinoe for going back to hell and the suface after she defeated chronos for good.

  7. Hades 2 doesn’t feel like an Early Access game; it feels more like a complete experience, with each update adding content as if it were a high-quality DLC. Honestly, it’s worth every penny.

  8. The game is absolutely worth it as it is right now. If having a full story that you can play all at once is important, hold off and wait for the full release. If you just want the gameplay, it has more than enough content, and will only get more over time. For me, this game is already miles better than Hades 1, and that game is great.

  9. I am curious about what the full story at the official launch will look like. Hades 1 found a way to "finish" the game/story/central conflict without ending the game, and I am not sure how they'd achieve a similar endgame with the story they're currently working with.

Regarding playable characters, I think it would be cool to play as Zag with Hades 1 boons in the world of Hades 2, or vice versa.

  10. There are for me 2 critigues for HADES 2 for me.
    1) resource system. I think that the game has just too many types of resources that each does very little things. HADES 1 had very few of those making everything neat and more managable.
    2) In concept, Arcana Cards are great, but they just dont work that well for me and dont much of a variety in them. Mirror was just better. Maybe what might change my mind would be if they added alternative side to the cards, just as is the mirrors green side.

  11. I'd say the biggest downside of skipping early access is spoilers. If you are a Haelian viewer or enjoy any content related to the game, you're going to be spoiled before the full release. If you want to be able to experience the game's story or what reaching a new boss or region for the first time is like for yourself, then you should probably play early access and come back to the game whenever a major patch comes out. That's what I've been doing personally since I want that unspoiled first-hand experience.
