Ive been waiting so long for this
Imagine killing Hades since the first run without reviving back home
you know a man loves (or needs content lol) when they restart playing a game they have playd for thousands of hours
Huh. I've been bingeing your hades runs for the past couple of weeks and now I see you are doing new ones, I'm glad to see them
We need hades 2 nowwww
I also started a new game file some weeks ago (in fact it's your guides that gave me the idea) , but hell mode is more like a big "hell no" for me, I'm at > 50% res on god mode and I still have hard time finishing some heatless runs.
It will be nice to see someone play on Hell mode, might learn some stuff too
Nice seeing the perspective. Only thing is that there definitely is unique dialogue for making to hades on the first run. The devs even mentioned it in the 25min fresh file speed run review about how it was skipped by the player and that it was more for story continuity than for gameplay achievement.
There is a distinct dialogue for beating hades on your first run tho
Hell mode’s personal liability pact seemed to greatly reduce the effectiveness of divine dash for me.
I remember my first run, and I got to the like fourth room and died. I was like, man, I did pretty good. I looked up how levels were in the game, thinking that the first area was the whole game, only to realize that I didn't do as good as I thought lol. I literally had multiple times where I'd get to Meg, die, cry , take a break, then go right back to it. It took me like 100 something deaths for me to realize the beauty of God mode. I beat a run like a few days later with like 60 percent of God mode. Felt beautiful. I then moved on to "beating" the game, not to much later. I then set my eyes on achievements, all of them were relatively easy or at least attainable for myself and skill level, except for the butterfly pin one, where you have to get the damage to 30 percent, so that means nit taking damage for like 20 something rooms. I cried so many times because I'd be at like 25 and die. It just was so hard for me especially since God mode was at 100 so I was so used to just tankibg hits. I had to make a new save file start over and play the game without any god mode and learn to not get hit. I started playing in like 2020, and it took me till 2022 to finally get the achievement. The tears of joy I cried where unbelievable lol. There's my story about probably one of my favorite games, it's the game that got me playing my favorite genre of games, Rougelites. It's the game that got me figuring out what my sexuality is. It's an awesome game, and I'm ready for round two this April!!
There is special dialogue if you beat it first try. IIRC it changes like one word only though, zagreus says incompetent wretches instead of vile wretches or something.
12:15 there is actually unique dialogue for the first run, it changes only a tiny bit though
Do you think hell mode would have been better if it was something like “each clear adds a heat level”? Maybe with an added meta upgrade that makes the highest heat levels beatable
hell mode is really not that difficult at all. i am not a good gamer (though i play TONS of games. 4k in hades and botw since 2020 alone; i'm just not naturally good at games esp combat) and hell mode does almost nothing to increase difficulty even for me.
edit: as an aside though, merciful end with divine dash on is one of my absolute favorite combos. cleave through enemies with combos. its also really nice seeing you actually strategize in terms of the early game bc i've never seen that from you. i'm very excited for this series!
Its a fun thing to experience when you've been watching a lot of old runs to explore the game further, then you get a whole new series for it.
Love this game and your content thank you bro!
Also write that down and italian mistake🤌🏻
I started a new file for the first time just to try the ios Hades
“This’ll be so hard on touch controls, I’ll just test it,” I thought
“Fine I’ll beat the final boss once just to say I did”
“Ok I’m close to rolling credits”
“16 heat done! Let’s see if I can beat my record”
It never ends
This is awesome. Kinda blows my mind how ratcheted down the game is early on.
The best I can go to is at the heroes. They always pummel me
I did this once a little bit ago. I don’t have anywhere near as much time in the game as this guy (only about 200 hours) but it still was a lot of fun. Got to Elysium but went into the champions fight with no health
I was hoping you were going to this
