► Hades 1.0 Full Release Story Synopsis

Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.

As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.

  1. One thing to note, Golden touch gives 5% coins *per rank*, so upgrading it to max gives a lot more coins than deep pocket, if you never spend money.
Also, Aspect of Demeter on the fists has pretty high base damage when upgraded, and when using the Hammer upgrade "kinetic launcher" it becomes ranged and hits multiple times. Very powerful when used with Artemis Special.

  2. Just a note Golden Touch goes up to 15% and applies to each region end this means you get it three times.

It is not Unrealistic to get 200 gold before the end of Tartarus resulting in 30 gold. If you avoid spending money unnecessarily you can easily have 500 gold by the end of asphodel giving you 75 more gold. If you once again avoid spending it is easy to have 800 gold by the end of Elysium resulting in another 120 gold this totals out to 220 gold extra by the end of the run more than doubling deep pockets.

On a side note if you enter Charon's shop regularly deep pockets is better as golden touch will rarely build up enough money to pay itself back.

I once did a run to see how much gold I could have by the time I reached hades I had like 2500 by the time I had completed the temple of the styx this was without the God boons that boost money about 400 of this was from golden touch.

  3. I think the main issue you were having early on is that the Aspect of Beowulf causes you to take extra damage, which is bad when you keep rushing into traps on accident. And ironically, your setup of Dionysus boons on your cast and attack works marvelously in concert with his legendary, since you can inflict Festive Fog and Hangover simultaneously to reap the rewards immediately.

  4. You can do two runs, full heat, which won't last more than 10 mins(or you are an absolute god), and try a speed(y?)run after that maybe?
Demeter Fists and Eris Rail are amazing for speedruns, both of which you haven't tried a lot. So I think that might be a good idea. And you'll have a chance at getting those missing hammers.

There are only two categories of rewards – the metacurrency ones(gems/darkness/nectar etc.) and the current run focused ones(boons/hammers/health/coin etc). You can absolutely get a coin room by rolling away boons. However – there is one catch, the mini boss rooms(except styx) will only offer boons.

Beowulf casts(flares) doesn't lodge inside enemies, so you can't get exit wounds/quick reload.
That fish flex in the end haha, amazing!

  5. Aren't all your runs a money run? 😛 lol
You're making good progress on all fronts, don't remember seeing that exchange between Hades and Hypnos in my 100+ runs, you're probably close to unlock his heart, I think..

  6. By the way, the reason why you havent seen the 'Survive for 45 seconds' rooms in a while is because they are disabled when you are on Tight Deadline :).

Also, I think that lower-heat runs for a while is a good idea! Lets you progress the Patroclus story and do things that are risky on higher heats (like intentionally forgoing boons so that you can give Theseus the Yarn of Ariadne)

  7. If you had been willing to sell boons you absolutely could have justified choosing a boon room over a cash room on your cash run, especially if it is a GodsTrial, since a boon can sell for over 400 gold. But you didnt even try to sell the attack boon that you did not like.

  8. I thing Zagreus needs to be anointed the God of Well-Intentioned Meddling. Someone you pray to when you're about to poke your nose into the business of your friends and loved ones in the hope that his favor makes everything turn out all right despite you having no idea what you're doing.
