  1. Emet: "Weary wanderer…"
    Players: HE SAID THE THING!

ShB main story ending had topped everything that came before, for a good while many thought there was no way for the game story to be better than this… Then came 5.3, and then came EW… XD

  2. Remember what they said earlier. The names of the members of the Convocation are titles passed on from holder to holder. So when Emet-Selch casts aside titles and pretense he's giving you his True name. And as you can see at the start of the fight… it's just Hades. Not "Hades | Sorceror of Eld" or "Hades | Unsundered"… Just 'Hades'. No titles 🙂

  3. No. Ardbert isn't talking through you. As you say, Yes, you are an "Ascian" or more accurately part of the convocation. Simply sundered. The Implication is that thats your voice and Ardbert is another part of your sundered soul rejoining with you. A lot of players seem to miss that bit

  4. "Let Expanse Contract… Eon Become Instant… CHAMPIONS FROM BEYOND THE RIFT – HEED MY CALL!"

How's that for an in-lore excuse for using Duty Finder? Also, that Robot you saw was the Machinist's Automaton, which replaces their Rook Autoturret.

And thus, Ardbert's soul rejoined with ours. He's not gone – he's part of us now. Very literally. With each Calamity, one of the Reflections was Rejoined to the Source, and with it all the souls of that reflection rejoined to their counterpart in the Source, lending their strength to the whole. We just received that benefit of an 8th Rejoining without having to go through the 8th Umbral Calamity.

Uhh, speaking of Palico's, actually… there's a questline over in Kugane that might interest you…

  5. I love FF14. That moment with Ardbert holding out the axe as the music starts and then G'Raha summoing the Duty Finder into game canon.

Touching moments: Emet, free of his burdens and his tempering finally stands straight. Ardbert rejoining his friends, his axe no longer stained with blood since he is free from the guilt he's held on to since causing the flood of light.

Funny moment: I love everyone just ignoring Uranger lying passed out on the beach at the bottom left as it fades out and changes to Crystarium.

  6. G'raha went through SO MUCH SHIT for us! Strapping himself to a colossal crystal battery and firing himself into another world, where he found himself 100 years too early so he fused with said battery and continued to fight to keep the straggling remains of it's population safe, then has his plan wrecked by a guy who wants to destroy all of it, and then summons people to help us for the final fight.
He is the most precious, truest companion we have and I will fight anyone who ever tries to lay a hand on him.

  7. Things that get me every time

    – the cold indifference Emet looks at Alisaie with when she attacks him
    – Y'shtola going to the last page of the book immediately and trying to LB3 him; she knows it might stun him at best, since she goes right into talking
    – "Do not presume to speak of my future" – everytime he flashes that runic mask thing, you know he's pissed
    – Ardbert figured out how this ends for him a while ago, but wants one last reassurance that it will work before he lets go and rejoins with you
    – everything about Emet – animation, voice performance – from the moment you stand up until the trial starts. Recognizing you for who you are, shaking it off and denying it, then the rising frustration as the odds turn and G'raha joins you
    – canonizing the duty finder. Honestly I didn't like it in real time; in retrospect it gets my hyped hearing G'raha invoke that spell.
    – world-building consistency! you kill Emet the same way you did Nabriales: capture with white auracite, pump full of aether, fracture with a blade of light. It makes it feel so rewarding to have paid attention, the rules of this world matter.
    – best Nod ever. Was the most immersed I ever felt for the WoL nodders, because I wouldn't have been able to speak, to think of anything to say to that request. We will remember.

People that sub for a read-out during big moments of cutscenes are a plague upon the earth. Get your dopamine elsewhere cretins.

  8. Congratulation.
So yeah alot of things in this video, Graha making the Duty Finder canon, you fusing with the soul of Ardbert (in japanese and in french he say "Take my soul, we fight together"), Emet-Selch telling you he's true name and asking you to remember they existed…
the arc of the warrior of darkness is almost at the end but you still have alot to do.
Maybe next time I will watch you live, but your hours are impossible for me.
