🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd, and I’ve been playing video games online for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us, etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc.), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games, too!

  1. The point of the stone is not to pose an extra challenge but to familiarise you with new weapon configurations. And there are A LOT more of those that you don’t have access to yet.

Edit: I guess you do now

  2. To answer your question:

The game uses the distinction between "attack" and "attacks" to specify which version(s) of a move the boon affects. For instance, the hammer text saying "Your specials (plural) are 35% faster." That means you fire your specials faster and channel our omega special faster (i.e. it applies to both your special and omega special). But if it says "Your special (singular) destroys 50% of any armor.", it applies only to your normal special and not your omega special. Personally it makes no sense to me, but that's how they've decided to do this, so that's what it is…

  3. The point to the pitch black stones is to just allow for "challenge" runs where they give you specific set ups that normally aren't possible. Obviously the first one is not a challenge run by any measures, because the only thing it has is you have 10x the health and mana, and you get a busted chaos boon, but others may actually be difficult, they're just all for stupid fun in all honesty, just because, it creates scenarios that you normally can't ever encounter in a normal run.

In fact all 3 that are unlocked initially are all just not very interesting, but they're not indicative of the rest of them, some are actually very very different and weird. I personally am a big fan of some challenges here, and I hope you like them too.

  4. Note that the trials also give you various arcana. You can also check those in the load out where your boons are.
A tip for the darkness miniboss in erebus. The boss always attacks in front of it. Generally a really good way to fight it is to bait out the attack and then dash behind it. Then you have some time to attack before it turns around and attacks again. Just repeat dashing behind and you're gucci. Trying to outrange is really rough

  5. I wonder if he read my message about familiars/pets on part 21 🤔 also regarding star dust but i think he gets it also the cat familiar helps with fishing as you rank her up she finds more fishing spots also get more recovery from death defiance i think max rank is like 40%

  6. Hey Odd. Do you notice that some choices of boon have a scroll icon? Those are boons you’ve never chosen before!

The scroll icons only become available if you’ve gifted nectar to that god.
