  1. I loved how he was portrayed in the books the first time I read them. He was imponent and powerfull yet somewhat sad at the sime time. Dude got the short end of the stick out of the three brothers when it came to his domain, always surrounded by depressed, angry or crazy souls every single day, and yet people still manage to blame him for the bad things that happen. I always felt simpathy for Hades everytime he showed up

  2. Percy Jackson is my favourite book series of all time. It tried to censor as little as possible while still appealing to younger audiences. Let's hope the show is good because this story deserves to be told correctly.

  3. It always frustrated me how pop culture portrates Hades as the villain and every other olympian as a heroic figure, while in mythology its the complete opposite. Until recently i found out about a book trilogy called The Ruined Gods by Alex Robins, where it does justice to the character (and shows some other olympians as the true trash they are). I highly recomend it, as not only it does justice to one of the most misanderstud mythological figures, it also has amaizing plot twists and the writer understands uses respectfully the ancient greek language in his work.

  4. Honest while I liked Rick Riordan's depiction of
Hades and Loki, I was personally really peeved by
how he chose to portray a certain 'evil' Egyptian
God. He really Royally screwed Over Set in his
'Red Pyramid' novel despite Rick Riordan admitting
in-book and in-person that Isis and Osiris had
schemed against the throne of Ra, Isis using
poison against said King pulling out his True
Name as Ransom to get her Husband on the
Throne. Meanwhile Set the guy Rick and some
myths claim was born-evil was defending Ra
non-stop against the forces of darkness and
Chaos. With that in-mind it seems reasonable
that Set would be pissed at his brother but
he was just written as a horrifying disgusting
satanic monster. Ironic thing is there's actually
a obscure story were Isis disguising herself
as a beautiful widow tricking Set with her
beauty bringing out his sensitive-side with a
story about her son with stolen-cattle. Set was
going to make that child his 'heir to the gods'
and was actually crying before the gods
when telling the story. That's quite a contrast
to Isis 'fake-crying' about Ra isn't it?
(I hate that Set's only interaction with his son
Anubis in-books was him telling his father
to 'shut-up' right after he Rooted for his kid
during the climatic battle. Set raised him
    according to Pre-Osiris mythology.)
