  1. Looking forward to fire bending! And I don't think it's possible to do a Aether only run, so those shouldn't count as other element for the purpose of mono element runs. My vote is go for Duo boons if you want to

  2. I think duos are fair game if all the requisites you pick up are from the specific element! So say you’re going for a specific duo but you’re forced into an off-element that still meets a requisite for that duo, that duo is off the table

  3. Like the other commenters, I do think showing off Duo Boons between two Gods with the same elemental suite is okay. Imagine it like combined element power from both. Having said that I think Hestia, Poseidon and Heph all combo into themselves much better than Zeus does in Hades II, so I think the other runs will be easier.

Airbending Trivia: The staff Aang uses in the series is simply called a glider staff or airbender's staff. They go back thousands of years, and were used as a focus to help airbenders channel their element. Specifically, before the domestication of sky bison they were used to allow airbenders to easily fly while also channeling their air for other reasons such as combat or to carry gear. Glider staffs were especially useful in the Southern Air Temple, which was built upside-down into a cliffside, but all airbender communities contained some element of verticality. Glider staffs were especially important for young airbenders to traverse their communities, since they often only had limited air bending abilities at a young age.

Ancient Greek Trivia: The four elements that you can obtain in this game are references to the classic Four Elements that the ancient Greeks believed the world was made out of. The reason why you gain Earth Elements from picking flowers (and why Demeter gives them out) is that the Greeks believed that all life descended from shaped clay created by Prometheus and his brother Epimetheus, later supplanted by life made out of stone supplanted by Zeus. Air was seen as a very spiritual element that gave humans things like thought and of course the breath of life itself (Prometheus gave humans life by breathing into their lungs, for example). Greeks believed humans were an intricate composition of all four Elements. Lastly, the reason why Chaos' element is Aether is that Aether was considered to be the primordial state of all matter, and that Primordial Chaos divided the world into different elements to create more sophisticated and complex structures primarily for its own amusement (as Chaos themselves mentions several times in the game). You gain Aether from Duo Boons because the Gods are combining two of the core elements that they command back into this primordial matter as they combine two of their powers. However, because Romantic Spark uses Passion Dash and Blitz (two Air Elemental Boons), I think it counts as fair play. Thus, I think any Duo Boon that can be activated using two of the same Element should count as that Element for lore reasons, even if it doesn't count mechanically. Let me know what you think!
