Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre.
As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.
The Olympians have your back! Meet Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, and many more, and choose from their dozens of powerful Boons that enhance your abilities. There are thousands of viable character builds to discover as you go.

A fully-voiced cast of colorful, larger-than-life characters is waiting to meet you! Grow your relationships with them, and experience thousands of unique story events as you learn about what’s really at stake for this big, dysfunctional family.
New surprises await each time you delve into the ever-shifting Underworld, whose guardian bosses will remember you. Use the powerful Mirror of Night to grow permanently stronger, and give yourself a leg up the next time you run away from home.
Permanent upgrades mean you don’t have to be a god yourself to experience the exciting combat and gripping story. Though, if you happen to be one, crank up the challenge and get ready for some white-knuckle action that will put your well-practiced skills to the test.

The rich, atmospheric presentation and unique melding of gameplay and narrative that’s been core to Supergiant’s games is here in full force: spectacular hand-painted environments and a blood-pumping original score bring the Underworld to life.

  1. I am new to the game and I´ve been wondering for this since I discovered you could swap the skills in the mirror: You will be only getting benefit from the one is showing in the mirror or do you get both once you have paid for them? Thanks!

  2. It's worth noting that if you use this feature mid run or mid boon picking, your current boons will be highlighted in the requirement list. This helps a ton while learning all the names.

  3. Hey Jawless Paul I love all your videos man. I've got a quick question regarding keepsakes I can't seem find the answer to.

After creating a bond with characters their keepsake will have their portrait on it and there will be a sentence describing your unique type of bond with them. Do these bonds have any effect on the keepsakes?

  4. Wait do you play with a mouse and keyboard? How does that work for you, do you think it's the more effective way to play? I honestly can't even imagine not playing with a controller

  5. Hey Jawless, can you put a video together on the hidden mechanics of the game? I just bought the game but as I watch videos I have heard things like "you can only get 2 hammers in a run" or "you can only meet 4 gods" or "if you take this boon it will prevent this boon from even showing up". These seem to be key things to understand that veterans will understand but new comers wouldn't (unless the game teaches this to you and I haven't encountered it yet). Thanks in advance!!!

  6. It's not guaranteed you'll get a duo just because you have the prerequisites though right? Quite often no duo will show up at all for me making the whole point of the run kinda moot.

  7. I've seen Haelian pull up the codex and the boons list while in the middle of picking boons (e.g. after encounters and in the shop), how can I do that? Would be extremely useful to double check any legendary/duo requirements from the 3 boons being offered. Afaik I can only pull up what boons I currently have by hitting Select, but not the codex itself?
