  1. How a child looks should be the least of their worries. I would disown my child if they came out to be pedos, rapists, racist, homophobic, murderer, ect. Now that is something they should worry about. Not to mention forbidding your child from expressing themselves would cause so much mental issues. I rather my kid be happy & confident:)

  2. IRL, I've only ever gotten positive responses, compliments and new friendships from being and looking alternative and I'm pretty sure the people making those videos wouldn't even think of approaching the people they're insulting without a screen to hide behind. Imagine being so bitter about other people's self expression, it's sad and toxic af. Other people's appearances have nothing to do with them

  3. Here’s an idea! A tiktok by alternative or goth person saying if my kid turns out like this *insert plain popculture person” I’m gonna love them regardless because every child deserves a loving home.

  4. Don't feel bad for them. The stupid are always with us! These people do not have education or morality or any idea about the world in its wider sense. They are small minded and stuck in a small screen existence.

  5. You are completely right, and it is sad. But the saddest thing about this is that much of these attitudes are learned at home, and from religious organizations. I grew up in one of those very conservative homes and was taught that anything different was evil. We even had to watch movies at church about pagan, and alternative people being told they were evil and to stay away from them. I grew up, got married and had a son. My son got into Goth and I followed. Before this, if I saw a Goth anywhere, I was afraid of them. I’ve learned that my upbringing was wrong and I’m still Goth. My son isn’t anymore, but he is now a Viking. He dresses Viking and has tattoos/ hair to fit the culture. I am happy that he has found his interest in life. My life is still up and down. I’ve lost family and friends for being Goth. Being judged and hated on for no reason and due to lack of understanding/acceptance, is wrong. I’m not on TikTok, but I can imagine it’s hard there also. All the hate and lack of acceptance needs to stop. I wish I had been lucky enough to grow up in an open minded home. To this day, I’m still struggling with my identity and dealing with self esteem issues. I’m happy for you that you have a loving accepting family πŸ’œπŸ¦‡

  6. I am a lot older than you and it is so sad too see ,and to add my mother is one of them I was never allowed to express myself in this way she would make me wash my face and at times it got physical but my grandmother would be the one to take me to school from grade 1 to 8th and my mom worked and was gone by 5 am so grandma would encourage it and stick up for me when she cought me ,so I agree , and my middle son is kinda dipping his feet in the goth aesthetic and I love it cause we love the same music and aesthetic and my other children feel our home is holloween witchie all year round but as an adult I get to enjoy my passion and share it with my teenage son so to all of you who feel that people should be unexpressive and uniform your sad and need help
    Be you be kind .

  7. This is absolutely heartbreaking to see, as an alternative person. I can’t believe that in this day and age people cannot see past each other’s appearances and still judge them for how they look. However this has actually inspired me to be 100% myself, in kind of a spiteful way. Love you Mamie, never stop being your beautiful self!! X πŸ–€

Work a public job. Make money. And dont have any worries. My mom is bubbly and fantastic. I love the vibe of this vid. My 7 yr old and 5 yr old go this is MY MOM SHES AWESOME he called me walking Halloween and I felt so honored πŸ’ž People are close minded period. Being alternative and or gay makes u such a bad person. But what about the bigot shit… How bad and terrible are you like you are better than us like god said thou shall not judge unless thee wants to be judged too. Its bullshit. If u can dress normal we should dress the way we want.

  9. Some even said "if my kid came out like this I'd kill it immediately" or "put it in a bin" how can anyone think like that? That's messed up

Thanks for making this video. Ppl seem to only make videos about topics if they want to cancel a person or stuff like that but never really bring attention to this

  10. I'm glad you are speaking up against this, it's disgusting, any form of bullying is vile but singling out subcultures or anything remotely alternative or different that is worse, words can affect people, when I was a kid I got told blue metallic lipstick didn't look good on me, so little alternative/Goth me receded and withdrew in myself, that part of me didn't come back out till I was 28 that's when I started the journey to Goth, alternative discovery, looking at different music genres, learning, finding what I liked, realising if I'm lazy with makeup then it doesn't matter it's okay to wear makeup only sometimes, especially if you got healing piercings, the love of the music, the art, the literature, architecture, fashion is a small part, but especially cause summers can literally melt you away in Australia you most times go for what's comfortable lol, and some can't afford to replace their makeup every 12 months once it expires too, it is frustrating that makeup does expire unfortunately, but this sort of nasty bully g happening on tiktok is awful I wasn't aware of it, I've been shielded from seeing it I'm shocked actually that they'd actually go out of their way to screenshot tiktok creators to hate on its just not right it's not okay

  12. I was 19 when my son was born. He will soon be 25. He dabbled a little bit with the Goth Culture. He's a good kid and didn't care how he expressed himself. He's my son first and always support him. He concluded the Culture wasn't for him but that was his choice. Im good with whatever makes him happy. Thought I'd share a little. Cheers to you! 🍻 πŸ–€
