  1. Now this is a proper review, I love it. Thanks Jay, you absolutely never disappoint. I have to pick up a pair of the Hades just for the experience- the Scarlet Minis really disappointed me because to your point, the sub bass was just too much. On a few the tracks in my library, the sub bass literally distorted and sounded like straight mud. I did not like them :/

  2. Good vid.

I feel like the Legato are criminally underappreciated as a basshead set. With the right tips, you can bring up some of the mids/vocals too to really keep the bass but tastefully (without eq) raise the floor on those.

  3. The Hades is a good time, even at moderate volumes. I got them the same day as Doscinco, so I haven't given the Hades the time it deserves. Rosefinch is still my pick for affordable bass without sacrificing everything else. I keep pondering the Mini or the Scarlet, but FatFreq got so behind on orders, and the the cheap set ( MAESTRO MINI ) is nearly $500, with the Scarlet at $650.

  4. as i high volume listener, i confirm even my vocals sound nice at those levels, maybe its the nostalgia of the old car sound but to sound its "relaxing" and kinda just start shaking my head instinctively

  5. You and Paul Wasabi has the most objective breakdown on Hades. But you make it very straight forward and simple. It's for Basshead Degens to Crank It Up! 😆Most Mid Bass compared to other bassy sets on graphs

  6. I just can't get over how thorough and clear your explanations are. Thanks for the excellent review.

Have you ever heard the Fir Xenon 6? It's the one other basshead set that I'm really interested in. Especially how it compares to Hades, because its bass response looks kinda similar, but it has much higher quality mid and treble drivers. If you ever get the chance, I'd love to hear that compared.
