  1. I'm guessing that Hades II is set twenty years in the future, giving Hades and Persephone to either change their mind or have an "unexpected." Part of the issue was they couldn't ask for help because the whole thing had to be a secret. Perhaps Apollo or Asclepius (Apollo's son and god of medicine) could be called in to ensure Melinoe wasn't stillborn.

  2. Little late on this. But irl, Melinoe isnt the daughter of Hades and Persephone. Rather that Zeus took the form of Hades and seduced Persephone "mixt with Zeus Kronion (Cronion), arose, near where Kokytos' (Cocytus') mournful river flows; when, under Plouton's (Pluton's) [Haides'] semblance, Zeus divine deceived with guileful arts dark Phersephone (Persephone)." This is why Melinoe is depicted as being half white and dark, taking both Cthonic and Olympic blood.

  4. In my headcanon Zeg wanted a sibling. But after learning of how his birth affected his mom he never told anyone. But when he found out the news he was maybe the happiest person to know.

  5. Zagreus: Please don't have any more children, there's no telling the kind of chaos that would unfold if that happened (also I'd get less attention from you and dad)

Zagreus, 5 seconds after Melione is born: I have known my sister for only a moment, but if anything happens to her I will drag every soul in Hades down to Erebus and then myself

  6. Well, if I remember correctly some myths say that Mel is the child of Zeus and Persephone. Not even considering how messed up that is the chances of the creators choosing to make that canon is almost nonexistent.
