Not to be that guy but persephone doesnt "leave" the underworld. She does but not really. In the myth hades kidnapped persephone. Her Mother whoms name i cant remember didnt make things grow. Zeus made hades give persephone back. But since persephone ate a pomegranate in the underworld. She doesnt want to leave. So Zeus makes a deal. During summer and spring persephone is with her Mother in the humanworld. And during fall and winter she is with hades.
That was how the seasons was created.
