I successfully beat Hades with revenge boons only – without pressing a single button! The core feature is the Ares + Zeus duo boon, Vengeful Mood.
I did get very lucky with 3 Zeus in a row in Elysium giving me a core boon into Double Strike into Splitting Bolt, as well as picking up both Curse of Longing and Life Affirmation from Aphrodite along the way.
